Summer brings sunshine, family vacations, and longer days — but for many families, it also brings increased food insecurity.
When school lets out, thousands of children lose access to the meals they rely on during the school year. In fact, only about 15% of children who receive school meals continue to receive them throughout the summer.
As a result:
• Families face higher grocery bills
• Local food pantries experience increased demand
• Donations often decrease during the summer months
It's a challenge our local pantries see every year, and it places added pressure on families already struggling to make ends meet.
The need for food assistance doesn't take a summer break — it grows.

Together, we can help ensure no child goes hungry this summer.
Hunger doesn't take a summer vacation... and neither do we.
