We headed out to “Bark at the Park” night at American Family Field with something extra that all dog owners need: doggy p**p bags.

But not just any bags. These bags carry messages of awareness and hope to make pet owners aware of the emotional stress and anxiety that veterinarians face on a regular basis.

Because we give a crap. And so should you.

Happy Pride Month! At Veterinary Hope Foundation, we believe every veterinary professional deserves spaces where they feel seen, supported, and connected. We are proud to foster community through programs designed to strengthen well being and belonging across the profession.

We are pleased to be offering our LGBTQIA+ Community Group again this month, beginning June 4. This facilitated, six-week experience provides a confidential space for connection, reflection, and shared understanding within the veterinary community.

There’s no better time to make pet owners aware of the mental health crisis facing the veterinary community than Mental Health Awareness Month.

Starting this weekend, Veterinary Hope Foundation will be showing up at dog-centric events with special doggy “p**p” bags featuring messages of awareness and hope. Because we give a crap. And so should you.

Through May 31, our wonderful partners at Pro Plan Vet are inviting pet lovers to show their gratitude for their veterinarian at Thanks.ProPlanVet.com. This week is a busy week for Veterinary Hope Foundation! Not only do we have two community groups for you, but we also have a webinar that is sure to be of interest:
- May 5: Mid Life & Mid Career Veterinarians Community Group, providing a confidential space to navigate the complexities of this stage of life and career alongside peers who understand.
- May 7: Owners Community Group, offering a confidential, facilitated space for veterinary practice owners to connect around the unique pressures of leadership and ownership.
- May 7: “Let Them” webinar. This session explores the practice of letting go of others’ narratives and expectations — a concept resonating across veterinary teams navigating high-pressure environments.
