🌟 Student of the Month – April 🌟

Please join us in celebrating our April Students of the Month, Yadira and Benedicta! 🎉

Yadira, a recent high school graduate, has demonstrated incredible dedication, perseverance, and a strong commitment to academic success. We were especially proud to hear her inspiring speech at FSS’s 10th Anniversary celebration, where she reflected on her journey and expressed gratitude for the opportunities and support she received through FSS. This fall, Yadira will attend Delaware Technical Community College as she pursues her goal of entering the nursing program. Congratulations, Yadira, on all of your achievements—we can’t wait to see what comes next! 👏🎓

Our middle school Student of the Month, Benedicta, is a bright, hardworking student whose passion for learning shines every day. An avid reader and natural leader, she encourages her peers to do their best and is always willing to lend a helping hand both in the classroom and on the courts. Her dedication, kindness, and leadership make her an outstanding role model for those around her. Congratulations, Benedicta—we are so proud of you! 🌟📚

Spring break was one for the books 🌎♻️
Our theme: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! Students explored the importance of recycling, got hands-on by making new paper from used materials, and learned how small actions can make a big impact.
Our 7th & 8th graders enjoyed a beautiful trip to Longwood Gardens 🌷, while a few of our high schoolers took on NYC with a visit to NYU 🏙️
Learning, exploring, and making memories every step of the way 💚

Student of the month for March💙💛

High School: Angie

“Angie has been named Student of the Month for March for her leadership and dedication to First State Squash. For every academic session since our spring schedule, Angie has graciously volunteered to read our class announcements aloud to her peers and set a positive tone for the session. We can always count on her as a volunteer and a role model for our middle school students. Go Angie!”

Middle School: Benjamin

“Benjamin is a fun and welcoming member of First State Squash. He spends his time wisely and is a positive influence on his peers to do the same. He always does what he’s asked and does his best. He is persistent and hardworking in the face of academic and social challenges. His willingness to work with new peers and volunteers as well as all of these other qualities makes him a model FSS student. For these reasons, Benjamin is student of the month.”
