New Life Enrichment Center This organization was a vision in heart of our Founders for years. It was this need that motivated life to be breathed into what was once a dream.

N.L.E.C will offer enrichment after-school educational programs, mentoring, job opportunities that foster self-value, build healthy relationships, foster vision within each youth for their future. In 2022 that vision became a reality as the displacement of women, and the need of single working mothers skyrocketed through Covid-19, incarceration rates and the economic status of so many families shi

fted. New Life Adult Enrichment Center endeavors to be an advocate for the mother as well as their children. We provide consistent encouragement to diminish the shame associated with incarceration and /or displacement deriving from the guilt of disappointing family, children, and community by encouraging transparency and setting realistic expectations for their future. We also provide support to their children in their absence by way of programs, which in turn aides the current caregiver. Our initial effort is to provide life skills and career transition training to the mothers while they are still in a controlled environment. If we can impact the mindset of the women before their release, we are hoping to decrease the recidivism rate. We are partnering with other organizations to provide resources while we are concurrently supporting the coparenting kinship model to reduce negative impact and trauma to the children.
