Thank you to the Jacksonville Florida Times-Union for highlighting the success of our 2025/2026 Kofi Day of Service fundraising campaign! Tedeschi Trucks Band and their incredible fan community came together to help bring 22 new instruments valued at $38,500, to Riverside High School in Jacksonville through our collaboration with Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation and its Adopt a School program. These instruments will have a huge impact for years to come! Can’t wait to hear the Joyful Noise these talented students play.🎶❤

We did it — and what an impact we made! ❤
For the 6th Annual Kofi Burbridge Day of Service, music fans, friends, family and musicians came together across 25 cities, partnering with 23 local nonprofits to give back in honor of Kofi.

Together, we provided more than 34,000 meals, sorted 2,950 children’s clothing items, assembled 1,260 snack packs for kids, packed 616 produce and pantry bags, helped 67 families shop for groceries, and assembled 23 kitchen starter kits — just a snapshot of the impact made that day.

A huge thank you to all of the volunteers and city leaders who brought their time, energy and heart to making this year’s Day of Service so meaningful. 🎶🙏💕

New instruments in the hands of students. ❤️ And on September 22, music fans in 25 cities will come together to honor Kofi Burbridge through service. This is what can happen when a music-loving community puts its passion into action.🎶

As Kofi Day of Service 2026 quickly approaches, we’re grateful to the generous music fans across the country who have volunteered their time, purchased stickers and pins, or made a direct donation to support music education in honor of Kofi Burbridge. 

Together with Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, the Kofi Day of Service campaign has donated $38,500 worth of new instruments —  including flutes, clarinets, alto saxes, trumpets, French horns, and more — to the music program at Riverside High School in Jacksonville, Florida!  Thanks to you, even more Riverside students will have the opportunity to find their voice, develop their talent, and experience the lifelong impact of music.

We’re excited to announce the 6th Annual Kofi Burbridge Day of Service, taking place on September 22, 2026 - Kofi’s birthday. This year we are partnering with nonprofits in 25 cities across the country to honor Kofi's legacy by serving our communities together.

It’s hard to believe it’s been three weeks since all the love, great music, and community spirit shared during the River Roads Festival in King of Prussia.
 
That same spirit carried into the next morning, when musicians Dar Williams and Susan Werner, Songwriter joined 40 dedicated volunteers for a cleanup of Riverfront Park along the banks of the Schuylkill River in Norristown.
 
Together, they removed more than 600 pounds of litter, helping protect the river from pollution.  Among the usual bottles, cans, cigarette butts, and bottle caps were some unexpected finds—including fishing rods, a car seat, a stuffed animal, a 75-year-old penny, and even a drone. 
 
Big thanks to Dar for her vision and leadership, Rising Sun Presents and to all the volunteers for their hard work, good vibes and commitment to keeping our waterways clean. This is what community looks like. 💚🎶

We were thrilled to see so many volunteers from enjoying the music at this weekend’s Hudson River Music Festival in Croton Point Park, NY ☀️🎶

Beautiful weather, incredible performances, and plenty of good vibes made for the perfect kickoff to summer.

Over the past few months, volunteers rolled up their sleeves at nonprofits including Filling in the Blanks, DIG Farm, Meals on Main, Songcatchers, and the Westchester Parks Foundation—earning free tickets to shows The Capitol Theatre and the Hudson River Music Festival along the way.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered with us this season—we loved seeing you celebrate together at the festival! 💙🎶🌈

Music. Community. Conservation. We were proud to support the upcoming River Roads Festival with our first volunteer day at Harriton Preserve in Bryn Mawr, PA.

Alongside Dar Williams, Lower Merion Conservancy, Rising Sun Presents, and an incredible team of volunteers, we helped restore Mill Creek’s ecosystem by removing invasives like multiflora rose, Japanese knotweed, and mugwort, mulching trails, and transplanting native asters. We also loved learning about creek health through a hands-on macroinvertebrate lesson.

These efforts will help strengthen the tree canopy, stabilize streambanks, and improve habitat in Mill Creek and throughout the Schuylkill River watershed.

Huge thanks to everyone who worked so hard throughout the afternoon, and to Dar Williams for inspiring her fans to come together through music and community action. 💚

As a bonus, volunteers earned tickets to the River Roads Music Festival on June 27 in King of Prussia, featuring Dar, 10,000 Maniacs, Billy Bragg, Shawn Colvin, Susan Werner and more.
