Kiamensi Civic Members are on the Move this Month!

While it has been cold and snow-covered here for the majority of February, it has not stopped our residents from getting together for some good causes. Good times and good food We had our very first Valentine’s Pancake Breakfast on February 14th at the Delaware Association of Police (DAP), where over 75 people attended and shared some great food prepared by our volunteer chefs Mike, Jeff, and Jon!...

While it has been cold and snow-covered here for the majority of February, it has not stopped our residents from getting together for some good causes. Good

SENIOR ROLL CALL LIFELINE LEADS TO WILMINGTON POLICE RESPONSE AFTER MISSED CALL

(Wilmington, DE. 19805) On Saturday, January 24, 2026, an 83-year-old woman residing at Parkview Apartments in the 1800 block of North Broom Street failed to answer her scheduled Senior Roll Call phone check. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact her, the Senior Roll Call Officer followed protocol and notified the Wilmington Department of Police - Delaware.

Officers were able to communicate with the woman through the door and subsequently entered the residence. The woman was located on the floor, suffering injuries from a fall. She had been on the ground for approximately four hours and was unable to reach her phone to call for help. Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the 83-year-old to a local hospital for further treatment.

The Senior Roll Call Lifeline is a complimentary service offered by the New Castle County Police, which calls its members’ homes daily to check on their well-being and ensure they do not require emergency assistance. If multiple attempts to reach someone are unsuccessful, help is dispatched to their home for a well-being check. Since its launch in 1995, the Senior Roll Call Lifeline has played a vital role in saving lives. It often assists individuals who have experienced serious injuries or health issues that have left them unable to seek help.

The program is FREE to all senior citizens or disabled residents of New Castle County.

Seriously, huge thanks to everyone who came out for the KCA Fall Festival on October 11th. We got so lucky with the weather, and the energy was just fantastic!

The Fall Bake-Off was absolutely amazing—the entries were next-level! And of course, the Co****le Tournament champs and the Pumpkin Decorating winner brought their A-game.

Good morning KCA!

Just a friendly reminder that the neighborhood will be plowed when and if Deldot registers 4 inches of snow accumulation for Kiamensi. Check https://deldot.gov/Programs/snow/index.shtml?dc=accumulations during the storm to see how much we have gotten so far.

In preparation for the snow, please move as many cars from the streets to make it easier for the plows and also easier for you once the snow ends.

Additional information about Deldot snow operations can be found at: https://deldot.gov/snowfaq.

Thanks!

Accumulating Snow is on the Way!

As a reminder, snow plows will automatically be scheduled to come once DelDot registers 4 inches at the Kiamensi Yard.

Please remember that the plows will toss snow onto your driveway so don’t be surprised when it occurs. We know many keep up on shoveling so it is easier but the plows will still have to come through if we hit 4 inches.

If you are able to move your cars from the street in preparation, it would be best so they can clear the streets and in front of your home.

If you would like to monitor how much has accumulated, check out the DelDot site:
