Thou art He, O my God, through Whose names the sick are healed and the ailing are restored, and the thirsty are given drink, and the sore-vexed are tranquillized, and the wayward are guided, and the abased are exalted, and the poor are enriched, and the ignorant are enlightened, and the gloomy are illumined, and the sorrowful are cheered, and the chilled are warmed, and the downtrodden are raised up. Through Thy name, O my God, all created things were stirred up, and the heavens were spread, and the earth was established, and the clouds were raised and made to rain upon the earth. This, verily, is a token of Thy grace unto all Thy creatures.

I implore Thee, therefore, by Thy name through which Thou didst manifest Thy Godhead, and didst exalt Thy Cause above all creation, and by each of Thy most excellent titles and most august attributes, and by all the virtues wherewith Thy transcendent and most exalted Being is extolled, to send down this night from the clouds of Thy mercy the rains of Thy healing upon this suckling, whom Thou hast related unto Thine all-glorious Self in the kingdom of Thy creation. Clothe him, then, O my God, by Thy grace, with the robe of well-being and health, and guard him, O my Beloved, from every affliction and disorder, and from whatsoever is obnoxious unto Thee. Thy might, verily, is equal to all things. Thou, in truth, art the Most Powerful, the Self-Subsisting. Send down, moreover, upon him, O my God, the good of this world and of the next, and the good of the former and latter generations. Thy might and Thy wisdom are, verily, equal unto this.

أَشْهَدُ بِأَنَّ مَا رَأَتْ عَيْنُ الإِبْدَاعِ مَظْلُومًا شِبْهَكَ كُنْتَ فِي أَيّامِكَ فِي غَمَراتِ الْبَلَايَا، مَرَّةً كُنْتَ تَحْتَ السَّلَاسِلِ وَالْأَغْلَالِ وَمَرَّةً كُنْتَ تَحْتَ سُيُوفِ الْأَعْداءِ وَمَعَ كُلِّ ذَلِكَ أَمَرْتَ النَّاسَ بِمَا أُمِرْتَ مِنْ لَدنْ عَلِيمٍ حَكِيمٍ، رُوْحِيْ لِضُرِّكَ الْفِدَاءُ وَنَفْسِي لِبَلَائِكَ الْفِدَاءُ أَسْئَلُ اللّهَ بِكَ وَبِالَّذِينَ اسْتَضَائَتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ مِنْ أَنْوارِ وَجْهِكَ وَاتَّبَعُوا مَا أُمِرُوا بِهِ حُبًّا لِنَفْسِكَ أَنْ يَكْشِفَ السُّبُحَاتِ الَّتِي حَالَتْ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ خَلْقِكَ وَيَرْزُقَنِي خَيْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْمُقْتَدرُ الْمُتَعالِي الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ. صَلِّ اللَّهُمَّ يَا إِلَهِي عَلَى السِّدْرَةِ وَأَوْرَاقِهَا وَأَغْصَانِهَا وَأَفْنَانِهَا وَأُصُوْلِهَا وَفُرُوعِهَا بِدَوَامِ أَسْمَائِكَ الْحُسْنى وَصِفَاتِكَ الْعُلْيا ثُمَّ احْفَظْهَا مِنْ شَرِّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ وَجُنُودِ الظَّالِمِينَ، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْمُقْتَدرُ الْقَديرُ، صَلِّ اللَّهُمَّ يَا إِلَهِي عَلَى عِبَادِكَ الْفَائِزينَ وَإِمَائِكَ الْفَائِزاتِ، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْكَرِيمُ ذو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الْكَرِيمُ.

“He is God.
O God, my God! I have set my face towards Thee, and supplicate the outpourings of the ocean of Thy healing. Graciously assist me, O Lord, to serve Thy people and to heal Thy servants. If Thou dost aid me, the remedy I offer will become a healing medicine for every ailment, a draught of life-giving waters for every burning thirst, and a soothing balm for every yearning heart. If Thou dost not aid me, it will be naught but affliction itself, and I will scarcely bring healing to any soul.

“O God, my God! Aid and assist me through Thy power to heal the sick. Thou art, verily, the Healer, the Sufficer, He Who is the remover of every pain and sickness, He Who hath dominion over all things.”

هُوَ اللهُ

أَيُّها المُنْجَذِبُ بِنَفَحاتِ اللهِ، قَدْ وَصَلَنِي تَحَرِيرُكَ الأَخِيرُ الدَّالُّ عَلَى فَرْطِ مَحَبَّتِكَ لِعَبْدِ البَهَاءِ وَتَوَكُلِكَ عَلَى اللهِ وَحُسْنِ نِيَّتِكَ الصَّادِقَةِ فِي خِدْمَةِ أَمْرِ اللهِ. ونِعْمَ البَيانُ ما كَتَبْتَ فِي ذلكَ التَّحْريرِ الكَرِيمِ بِأَنَّكُمْ تَحْتَاجُونَ فِي تِلْكَ الدِّيارِ إلى المَحَبَّةِ والأُلْفَةِ بَيْنَ القُلُوبِ وَالأَرْواحِ. هذا هُوَ الحَقُّ وَما بَعْدَ الحَقِّ إلاَّ الضَّلالُ. اعْلَمْ حَقَّ اليَقِينِ أَنَّ المَحَبَّةَ سِرُّ البَعْثِ الإِلَهِيِّ وَالمَحَبَّةَ هِيَ التَّجَلِّي الرَّحْمَانِيِّ. المَحَبَّةُ هِي الفَيْضُ الرَّوْحَانِيُّ. المَحَبَّةُ هِيَ النُّورُ المَلَكُوتِيُّ. المَحَبَّةُ هِيَ نَفَثَاتُ الرُّوحِ القُدُسِ فِي الرُّوحِ الإِنْسانَيِّ. المَحَبَّةُ هيَ سَبَبُ ظُهُورِ الحَقِّ في العَالَمِ الإِمْكانِيِّ. المَحَبَّةُ هِي الرَّوَابِطُ الضَّرُورِيَّةُ المُنْبَعِثَةُ مِنْ حَقَائِقِ الأَشْياءِ بِإِيجادٍ إِلهِيٍّ. المَحَبَّةُ هِيَ وَسِيلَةُ السَّعَادَةِ الكُبْرى فِي العَالَمِ الرَّوْحانِيِّ وَالجِسْمانِيِّ. المَحَبَّةُ هِيَ نُورٌ يُهْتَدى بِهِ فِي الغَياهِبِ الظَّلْمَانِيِّ. المَحَبَّةُ هي الرَّابِطَةُ بَيْنَ الحَقِّ وَالخَلْقِ فِي العالَمِ الوِجْدَانِيِّ. المَحَبَّةُ هِيَ سَبَبُ التَّرَقِّي لِكُلِّ إِنْسانٍ نَوْرَانِيّ. المَحَبَّةُ هِيَ النَّامُوسُ الأَعْظَمُ فِي هذا الكَوْرِ العَظِيمِ الإِلهِيِّ. المَحَبَّةُ هِيَ النِّظَامُ الوَحيدُ بَيْنَ الجَواهِرِ الفَرْدِيَّةِ بِالتَّرْكِيبِ وَالتَّدْبِيرِ فِي التَّحَقُّقِ المَادِّيِّ. المَحَبَّةُ هِيَ القُوَّةُ الكُلِّيُّةُ المِغْنَاطِيسِيَّةُ بَيْنَ هذِهِ السَّيَّاراتِ وَالنُّجُومِ السَّاطِعَةِ فِي الأَوْجِ العَالِي. المَحَبَّةُ هِيَ سَبُبُ انْكِشَافَاتِ الأَسْرارِ المُودَعَةِ فِي الكَوْنِ بِفِكْرٍ ثَاقِبٍ غَيْرِ مُتَنَاهِي. المَحَبَّةُ هِيَ رُوحُ الحَياةِ لِجَسْمِ الكَوْنِ المُتَباهِي. المَحَبَّةُ هِيَ سَبَبُ تَمَدُّنُ الأُمَمِ فِي هذا الحَياةِ الفانِي. المَحَبَّةُ هِيَ الشَّرَفُ الأَعْلَى لِكُلِّ شَعْبٍ مُتَعَالِي. وإِذا وَفَّقَ اللهُ قَوْمًا بِها يُصَلِّيُنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ أَهْلُ مَلإِ الأَعْلى وَمَلائِكَةُ السَّمَاءِ وَأَهْلُ مَلَكُوتِ الأَبْهى وَإِذا خَلَتْ قُلُوبُ قَوْمٍ مِنْ هذهِ السُّنُوحاتِ الرَّحْمَانِيَّةِ، المَحَبَّةِ الإِلهِيَّةِ، سَقَطُوا فِي أَسْفَلِ دَرَكٍ مِنْ الهَلاكِ وَتَاهُوا فِي بَيْدَاءِ الضَّلالِ وَوَقَعُوا فِي وَهْدَةِ الخَيْبَةِ وَلَيْسَ لَهُمْ خِلالٌ. أُولئِكَ كَالحَشَراتِ العَائِشَةِ فِي أَسْفَلِ الطَّبَقَاتِ. يا أَحِبَّاءَ اللهِ كُونُوا مَظَاهِرَ مَحَبَّةِ اللهِ وَمَصَابِيحَ الهُدى فِي الآفَاقِ، مُشْرِقِينَ بِنُورِ المَحَبَّةِ وَالوِفَاقِ، وَنِعْمَ الإِشْراقُ هذا الإِشْراقُ. يا عَزِيزِي عَلَيْكَ بِأَنْ تَطْبَعَ هذا الكِتَابَ وتَنْشُرَهُ بَيْنَ الأَحْبابِ فِي أَمْرِيكا حَتَّى يَتَّحِدُوا وَيتَّفِقُوا وَيُحِبُّوا بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا بَلْ يُحِبُّوا جَمِيعَ البَشَرِ وَيُفادُوا أَرْواحَهُم بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا. هذا سَبِيلُ البَهَاءِ. هذا دِينُ البَهَاءِ وَهذا شَرِيعَةُ البَهاءِ. ومَنْ لَيسَ لَهُ هذا فَلَيْسَ لَهُ نَصِيبٌ مِنَ البَهاءِ وَعَلَيكُمْ التَّحِيَّةُ والثَّنَاءُ.
