Since its founding in 1945, the Misericordia Women’s Auxiliary has raised over $15 million dollars to support the care of the Misericordia residents and outreach programming. In addition to volunteering at the Home, we host a variety of philanthropic events including Misericordia Loves Chicago; “First Look for Charity” fundraiser at the Chicago Auto Show; and a Holiday Luncheon and Candlelight Din
ner at Misericordia. The goal of the Auxiliary is to provide funds to Misericordia to support programming that maximizes the residents’ independence and self-determination in an environment that fosters dignity, respect and an enhanced quality of life. Misericordia shares life with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a full continuum of care.
