Staunton Farm Foundation invited Co-Founder, Kelleigh Boland, to write a blog from a su***de loss survivor perspective. The blog highlights five main areas:
• We exist.
• We are grit and resilience.
• We need resources.
• We are in this together.
• We love them.

Let's not forget that postvention services are desperately needed and that postvention is prevention AND more.

My youngest brother, Pat, died by su***de. There aren’t words to convey the enormity of the impact Pat’s death has had on my life. There is only Before I lost Pat and After I lost Pat. A dark, boldly drawn line between who I was before I lost him and who I am today. I am a su***de loss survivor.

Allegheny County's SAFE Task Force presents the 2nd Annual “My Journey” Writing Contest with a category for submission by su***de loss survivors. If you have lost someone to su***de, please consider submitting an entry.

🟣 Winner in the su***de loss survivor category will receive $500 and a trophy.
