Our Black Rose Our Black Rose provides care packages to recognize the unique grief of su***de loss survivors The black rose is a symbol of life and beauty even in darkness.

As the Butler family navigates their own healing journey
following the loss of their son and brother, Patrick to su***de in
June 2020, the family has launched Our Black Rose to help
other su***de loss survivors. Our Black Rose focuses on families
who have recently (within a year) lost a loved one to su***de
and provides a care package free of charge. The care package
includes grief support gifts and local resources for families
surviving a su***de loss in Allegheny County.

This week, 30 care packages were delivered through collaboration with the Butler County Coroner’s Office Korynne Young, Butler County Su***de Coalition, Butler County Crisis Intervention Team Michael Weleski, to help ensure families receive support, resources, and hope following losing someone they love to su***de. 💜
