What happens when a global media voice steps beyond the headlines and into the communities shaping Syria’s future?

We were delighted to welcome Muhammad Jalal, host of The Thinking Muslim Podcast, on a field visit to North Syria following his special episode with غسان هيتو Ghassan Hitto, Syrian Forum USA CEO, in Damascus.

Accompanied by the Syrian Forum team, Jalal visited Al Mountada Private Model Schools in Azaz, child protection and women’s empowerment centers, and met beneficiaries of the Small Grants Program, gaining firsthand insight into efforts that support education, protection, livelihoods, and community resilience.

More than a tour of projects, the visit highlighted the people behind the impact—students pursuing their ambitions, women creating new opportunities, and communities working toward a stronger future.

We value opportunities like this that help share authentic stories of resilience, hope, and impact from across Syria.

Some dreams refuse to disappear.
Rabeaa held onto one: a small shop to rebuild her life.
Then one day, a message changed everything — silence, disbelief, then tears.

Because of your support, that dream is now real. She now has her own shop — a turning point that reshaped her future.

Her monthly income is expected to grow from $40 to $200 and more, bringing stability, dignity, and lasting change to her family. This is the impact of your compassion.

Your giving today can do the same for another family.
Give today and change a life. https://syrianforumusa.org/small-business-grants/

Strategic Visions Shaping the Future of Syria’s Economy

Syrian Forum proudly participated in the Syrian Private Sector Dialogue Conference under the patronage of the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Industry, in partnership with UNDP, with support from the Government of Japan, and in collaboration with Syrian Forum.

The event, held for the first time in Syria, brought together decision-makers, experts, and private sector leaders to discuss pathways toward economic recovery and sustainable development in Syria.

As part of the conference, Syrian Forum CEO غسان هيتو Ghassan Hitto joined a high-level panel discussion moderated by Dr. Sinan Hatahet, Syrian Forum Board Member and Chairman of the Syrian Computer Society.

The discussion focused on empowering youth, developing workforce skills, fostering innovation, and strengthening collaboration between the public, private, and civil society sectors to support Syria’s economic future.

During the discussion, Mr. Hitto shared the Syrian Forum’s vision for investing in human capital, expanding opportunities for young people, and creating sustainable pathways for economic and social development.

As the first event of its kind in Syria, the conference marked an important milestone in building dialogue between key stakeholders, strengthening strategic partnerships, and advancing a shared vision for a more resilient, inclusive, and prosperous Syrian economy.

The most powerful thing being created here isn't a candle or a concrete piece.

It's confidence.
At the Women’s Empowerment Center in Jindires, women are developing practical skills that can help them earn an income, support their families, and build independent futures.

This is how lasting change begins: with opportunity, knowledge, and women empowered to shape their own path.

Invest in women. Invest in stronger communities. Invest in lasting impact.

During Eid days, some moments don’t need to be big to matter.
Just a flow of light feelings — anticipation, joy, soft surprises, and quiet smiles that come naturally.

And they last longer than expected.
