A Heart as Big as Her Voice

Dolly’s philanthropy has always been deeply personal to her. She believed that when you are in a position to help, you should, and much of her giving has been rooted in the people and places closest to her heart, including East Tennessee and Nashville.

For decades, Dolly used her voice, resources and influence to uplift others, inspire millions of children and support causes that held special meaning to her. Over time, that spirit of generosity has become as much a part of her legacy as the music that made her legendary.

Willow Springs has a big heart too and is working to continue Dolly Parton's Imagination Library for children in the Willow Springs School District. To make a donation to the cause, contact the Willow Springs Community Foundation or mail your donation made payable to Willow Springs Community Foundation and note Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in the Memo Line. They can be dropped off at 127 E Main Street, Willow Springs or mailed to the same address. Help us keep Dolly's tradition alive in Willow Springs.

Willow Springs Rotary Club held their installation of new officers on Wednesday, June 24 at Vineyard in Mountain View. Past District Governor Joe Beltz performed the installation of President Stephanie Beltz-Price, President-Elect Michele Myers, President-Nominee Kim McCormick and Treasurer Arlene Arnold. Secretary Sidney Collins was not able to attend that night. If you have any questions about the Willow Springs Rotary Club, reach out to any of these members or send a message on this page. Willow Springs Rotary Club presented two $750 scholarships to graduates from Willow Springs High School. Seated Dylan Ferguson and Karis Cochran received the awards for 2026, presented by Club President-Elect Stephanie Beltz-Price.

Dylan, son of Jason and Michelle Ferguson, graduated in the top 10 students after attending school at Willow Springs for 13 years. He plans to continue working this summer and on Sept. 1 will begin school at the North American Lineman Training Center in Tennessee. He became interested in a career as a lineman due to his love of the outdoors and after working with the local FFA after the Bakersfield tornado, he is excited to work in a role to help locals. He was involved in FFA and currently works for Montgomery Farms.

Karis, daughter of Chris and Kim Cochran, graduated Valedictorian and will be attending the University of Mississippi this fall to study elementary education. Karis' parents and grandparents have been involved in education and her parents both attended Ole Miss, meeting there. She will also be a member of the Marching Band, playing alto saxophone. Karis just completed her orientation in Mississippi and is going through all the information they have given her about attending school there. During her time in High School she was very active, participating in Interact (the high school arm of Rotary), Softball, Tennis, Beta Club and FCA.

Congratulations to both students and good luck in your future education. Come back anytime and let us know how things are going. The WS Rotary Club meetings the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at Pizza Americana at Noon.

Amanda is one of our new Rotary Members. Congratulations!

We’re excited to welcome the very skilled Amanda Burk, LMT, to Main Street Wellness Center as our newest massage practitioner.

Amanda brings 18 years of experience in massage therapy, with a specialty in pain management. She has worked with individuals dealing with ALS, MS, chronic pain conditions, and other complex or terminal health concerns.

She offers relaxation massage as well as more focused therapeutic massage tailored to individual needs.
