Please keep the OMMI clinic in Coronado de la Cruz in your prayers. God has been so faithful in providing whenever there is a need. The clinic has been so successful that we are capping the numbers at 72 patients per day. Please help us pray for strength for the staff and for God to continue to use this clinic for his glory!

A few additional prayer requests from the clinical staff:

They are in need of Spanish Bibles that they can give out to patients in need, coloring books, crayons colored pencils and
funding to secure more chairs so that all of the patients have somewhere to sit while they wait.

Hi everyone! We will be traveling to Guatemala in July to serve patients through our mobile clinics. Below is an Amazon wishlist containing many of the supplies we typically need to care for patients during these clinics. Please take a look if you would like to support the mission.

Our team visited the ancient city of Antigua Guatemala for our final day. It was a great time with lots of good food, shopping and site seeing.

Please continue to pray for our team as all of us will be flying home into areas that have either recently been or are currently under active snow events.

What an awesome week our OMMI team have had. We completed our medical clinic this afternoon with a total of more than 1,000 patients being evaluated and treated throughout the week. Then we packed up our supplies for storage and said our tearful goodbyes, especially me (Matt).

Please pray for the clinic workers who are tasked with keeping the clinic open and running throughout the year. This is a tremendous ministry for the pastor and his family. However, it is also very tiring and grueling work.

We were encouraged to find out that the clinic is treating as many as 75 people every day. While this is exciting, it also creates a logistical opportunity for us. Please pray that OMMI will find the funding that we need to keep the clinic running while increasing the medication budget to cover the additional patient load as well as potentially bringing in a second nurse to help relieve some of the strain.

The clinic director,Jacqueline had several specific requests. She notes that many of those coming to the clinic do not have (Spanish) bibles of their own and are requesting them. They also need coloring sheets and crayons and colored pencils to keep the children busy while their parents are being evaluated.

We serve an awesome God and pray that His will be done. We trust that He has already provided the solution according to His perfect plan!

Day three of our medical clinic is already in the books. We saw more patients today than we have seen yet. It was hot, but God answered prayers. The generator, which had been on the fritz, worked flawlessly all day. So, we had fans which was awesome!

We ask for prayers for continued strength as we will be back in the OMMI clinic in Conrado de la Cruz tomorrow.

We finished our clinic time at La Playa el Semillero today where we treated more than 200 additional patients. We then loaded up the supplies and spent some time on the beach where we were able to see a beautiful Pacific sunset (a new experience for many of us East Coasters).

Tomorrow we will work in the OMMI clinic in Conrado de la Cruz. Please pray that God will grant us continued strength and discernment as we complete the week of work tomorrow and Thursday.

What an awesome fist day of medicine we had today at La Playa el Semillero (the beach). We were able to see and treat more than 250 patients today.

For many of our team this is our first time working in one of our clinics. As such, we learned a lot and some of us were able to push some exciting boundaries. We thank God for His peace and protection.

Our location is right on the beach. How amazing it was to serve God while feeling the cool breeze coming off of the Pacific Ocean.

Tomorrow we will return to the same location. Keep praying for us and for the people in these communities.

We had a great time worshiping with Pastor Lopez and his congregation in Conrado de la Cruz. What a blessing it was for us!

We were able to go by the OMMI clinic to get supplies and medication that we will be using this week. We then visited the beach where we will be working tomorrow and Tuesday before returning to our hotel where we finished getting the medications packaged and labeled.

Please pray for us as we begin the clinic tomorrow through Thursday. Pray that God uses us as his hands and feet. Pray for our Guatemalan nurses, doctors, translators and helpers as we continue to build relationships with them and with these beautiful communities.

It’s that time of year again. Our medical team is again visiting the west coast of Guatemala. The plan is to do 2 days of medical clinics at the beach and 2 days at the OMMI clinic in Conrado de la Cruz.

We have a small but strong medical team of 15 (9 people from the US). We all arrived safely in country Friday night, narrowly missing the winter storm hitting so much of our homes. We traveled safely down to Tiquisate where we spent the afternoon organizing and labeling the medications we will be using in our clinics this week.

Please pray for our team. Pray that we will have the energy and knowledge base to treat everything that we encounter. May God be glorified in everything we do and may He bless these wonderful Guatemalan people.

Day 4 from Jalapa:
Our medical team worked in an area on the outskirts of Jalapa called Los Pinos (The Pines). We worked in an existing clinic and treated 218 patients.

The construction team continued their efforts up on the mountain in El Chorro. Please pray that the foundations they began this week will help the local church with future endeavors in that community.

Tonight we pack everything, eat dinner and ride down the mountain to Guatemala City. Pray for our safe trip.

Tomorrow we will spend a free day in the historical city of Antigua Guatemala. Then it’s back to Guatemala City tomorrow evening. Our team will fly back throughout the night on Friday into Saturday morning.

Thanks everyone for all your prayers. It has been a fantastic week full of challenges and many blessings!
