The 1st Marine Division Association was created to foster, encourage and perpetuate the memory, the spirit and comradeship in arms of all veterans who campaigned under the battle colors of the 1st Marine Division. All Active Duty, Reserve, or Honorably Discharged Veterans who are serving or have served with the 1st Marine Division are eligible for Membership in the 1st Marine Division Association.

Spouses, children and widows of those who served with the 1st Marine Division are all also eligible for Associate Membership in the 1st Marine Division Association. World War II, North China, Korea, Cold War, Vietnam, Kuwait, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq...the 1st Marine Division was there. Visit our members page on our website or contact us!

This day marks the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Guadalcanal. The Blue Diamond commemorates the division's sacrifices and victory in that battle with a red numeral one inscribed with "Guadalcanal." The white stars featured on the night-sky blue background are in the arrangement of the Southern Cross constellation under which the battle took place.

he overwhelming victory by the 1st MarDiv on Guadalcanal kept with the Marine Corps tradition of being the most lethal fighting force in the world. Today, Marines with the Blue Diamond are commemorating the anniversary in Guadalcanal. Stay tuned for photos in video.
