We made huge progress at Fire Station 6 at 1386 Cherry Ave. but there are a few more things to do:
1. we need donations to fill this area with 1-2" river rocks in order to have a fire safe clearance to the building
2. We need a lot more 6"+ river rocks to edge the wood bark to the side walk. If you have any to donate, we can pick up or you can drop off at the fire station. It would be helpful if you put in place! :)

When the community comes together we are able to make so much positive impact.

This project was privately funded and we designed the landscape to be drought tolerant, self sustaining using California Natives, Lavender, and Succulents. Next spring is when the true beauty will show.

Look who stopped by the Fire Station to check out the new plants! Popsicle will stop by again tomorrow for our Volunteer Planting Event!

Meet at 1386 Cherry Ave, Fire Station 6 - park legally on street
Bring gloves, shovels, and help us plant all the flowers that were donated in some way to this Fire Station 6 project.

We are excited to see you Saturday 4/4 from 9-11 am.

Getting ready for our Kick Off event on Saturday April 4 from 9am to 11am. We can still use help, both volunteers and donations.

We are laying out a path and planting beds, but need more river rocks.

During our event on 4/4, volunteers will help plant the plants we have collected and place mulch in designated areas.

Please be aware Volunteers must park legally on the street and do not block the fire station in any way. Also, the city requires all volunteers to fill out a volunteer waiver form. This will be done on the day of the event.

Plant wish list for Firestation 6, Hilltop Manor Senior Center, and Wallenberg Park Kindness Garden

We are working on Fire Station 6 (Minnesota & Cherry) Landscaping and need your help. We need donations of drought tolerant plants, river rocks, stepping stones, and tree branches to use to form paths. Please message or email [email protected].

Please come to our Dedication and Volunteer Event of Saturday April 4rth from 9-11am rain or shine. Volunteers will help plant.

Councilmember Mulcahy and staff will be there.

Also a big Thank You to Bayfront Landscape who donated the mulch as well as installed it on the Cherry Side of the Fire station
