Check out this incredible footage of the recent ice jam on the Chagrin River at the mouth of Lake Erie!

Ice jams happen when chunks of river ice pile up at bends, mouths, or shallow spots, blocking the flow and causing upstream flooding. Often triggered by winter thaws or spring melts, they’re unpredictable and can lead to flash floods and serious infrastructure damage.
