It was an honor to present at the Future Forward Alliance meeting. Thank you for amplifying awareness and everything you do to support Cuyahoga and Lake County communities!

--

If you suspect human trafficking, call 911 to reach your local police department or contact the Northeast Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force’s 24/7 tip line c/o the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department for Ashtabula County, Cuyahoga County, Geauga County Ohio and Lake County, Ohio at (216) 443-6085.

The statewide human trafficking hotline number is 844-END-OHHT (844-363-6448). Human trafficking is not a victimless crime. The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office, lead agency for the H.E.A.L. Human Trafficking Task Force, arrested traffickers and buyers but instead of arresting victims, they referred them to services. Well done!

“The women were brought to the United States under a ruse they would be part of a work-study program to obtain higher-education degrees. Instead, they were forced into an illicit s*x trade operation involving multiple massage parlors across the country. The H.E.A.L. task force provided the victims temporary housing and means to be reunited with their families in their home countries.”
