Willmar Fests The purpose of Willmar Fests is to encourage the imagination, talents, interests and creativity of the residents of the Willmar Area.

Willmar Fests is a 4-day summer celebration filled with community pride, live entertainment, family fun, and cultural experiences, bringing the Willmar Lakes Area together with events for all ages each June, the week after Father's Day. This annual festival promotes Willmar Area Attractions, pride in the community and the quality of life through family participation featuring events for citizens o

f all ages. Willmar Fests is the combination of four Festivals rolled into one big summer city wide celebration. International Fest which honors Willmar's sister city of Frameries, Belgium, Aqua Fest featuring water events, Frameries Fest which is a Fine Arts Celebration, and Kaffee Fests honoring the coffee tradition of the Scandinavian Heritage.

Today is the day! We want to send a huge good luck to our Willmar Fests Queen of Festivals as she competes at the Minnesota Aquatennial for the title of Queen of the Lakes!
She is joining an incredible group of candidate royalty from across the state, all vying for the opportunity to serve as the Queen of the Lakes or one of two Aquatennial Princesses.
We couldn't be prouder of how amazingly she represents the Willmar community with grace, poise, and pride. Shine bright today, we are cheering you on every step of the way! šŸ’™āœØ

The Farewell Breakfast on Sunday marked the final event of Willmar Fests 2026 and brought a wonderful week of celebration to a close.

While the Willmar Fests Ambassador Program will be paused for the coming year, we remain hopeful that it will return in the future. Thank you to our incredible ambassadors, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who helped make this yearā€™s festival such a success. Your dedication and community spirit made the 80th Anniversary of Willmar Fests truly memorable.

The Willmar Fests Grande Day Parade marked the final parade of the 2026 Willmar Fests Ambassadorsā€™ reign. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Willmar Fests Festival!

A special thank you to our amazing parade crew for beautifully decorating the ambassador floatā€”it looked incredible. The community came out in full force, with nearly 100 parade units making their way through the streets and a tremendous crowd lining the route.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this yearā€™s Grande Day Parade such a memorable celebration of our community and a fitting finale to an unforgettable year for our ambassadors! ā¤ļøšŸŽ‰

Pancakes! Pancakes! Pancakes!

Saturday morning kicked off with the Willmar Fire Department Pancake Breakfast! The Willmar Fests Royalty and visiting royalty had a blast trying to catch pancakes as they flew through the air. It was a fun-filled morning filled with laughter, delicious pancakes, and great community spirit. Thank you to the Willmar Fire Department for hosting this beloved Willmar Fests tradition!

Next upā€¦the Beach Party at Robbins Island with the free Little Crow Ski Team show at 7 pm and then free Beach Party concert with Big Machine. There will be food trucks and a beer garden.

Stick around for "Works Over Water" fireworks show at 10 pm. šŸ“» The Patriotic Soundtrack synchronized to the fireworks will air on 102.5 Q102.
