Foster Youth Connect MN is coming to Willmar this Wednesday, October 14! We’d love your help spreading the word and getting youth excited to join us!
Please share this opportunity with current and former foster youth ages 14 and older who may be interested in meeting other young people with similar experiences.
What is Foster Youth Connect? Think less formal meeting and more hanging out, meeting new people, having real conversations, and making connections! This is a relaxed, youth-centered space where young people can be themselves, get to know one another, share experiences if they choose, and build relationships with others who understand parts of their journey.
Youth will also have the opportunity to connect with two former foster youth who now work directly for the State of Minnesota, hear about their experiences, and get to know the people behind the work. And yes, food will be provided!
There’s no pressure to give a presentation, share personal stories, or have everything figured out. The goal is simple: show up, connect, have fun, have some food and leave knowing you’re not alone.
