We had a wonderful Mother's Day Lunch today! As everyone shared a little about themselves, we realized we had moms from 6 different countries sitting around a table together. We have a group chat that gets translated into 3 languages! One of our moms brought her mom and abuela so they had 4 generations celebrating together.

Arrive Willmar was a spot of healing, connection, and collective resistance this weekend for a community art event in collaboration with Purpose Artisans, the City of Willmar, Woodland Centers, Community Connector Services, and Willmar Area Arts Council.

Volunteer, immigrant, and refugee neighbors gathered to paint rocks to create a mosaic for the “Ceiba Tree Project.”

The mosaic will represent the community’s stories and resilience during a time when many had to stay home and navigate challenging circumstances. This will help Willmar remember what happened and become a source of truth and memory for future generations.

For our next Community Blessing Day, we would like to give each family a laundry basket and laundry soap along with the basic hygiene items we supply each month.

We will need 100 of each item to make this happen! Items can be purchased on Amazon and will ship directly to us, or dropped off at our office.

We are hosting a Community Art Day in collaboration with Purpose Artisans. You and your family can paint a rock to be added to our community art piece. You will also be able to sample food from around the globe and connect with neighbors.
