A few months ago we became members of Reuse MN. Our secretary attended our first quarterly meeting yesterday in St Cloud.

Our first stop of the day we toured St Cloud City Hall. They have reused and transformed the space giving a piece of history a new life. With many uses for the community.
🎨St Cloud Recycled Art Project Shop (SCRAPS) is inside of the building. They provide access to supplies for art activities for educators, students, artists and non-profit service organizations. Who are welcome to free materials for educational art projects and programs. If you are not one of those listed above you can still visit SCRAPS they ask for a $5 donation for every grocery bag of items you take. You are able to visit SCRAPS Fridays from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m to make a donation or use their space! Photos 1-3 are of City Hall tour and 4-13 are inside of SCRAPS space)

Our meeting was held in the Stearns County History Museum. We learned about many other organizations and businesses within the reuse space. We gave a presentation to members in person and online about what we do here in our commUNITY 💚. We heard from another presentor about fledj, a new peer-topper sharing platform designed to reduce friction in community based sharing of goods. It is currently being beta tested within the twin cities. (photos 14-22 are inside of the museum)

Last stop of the day was ConnectAbility of MN. They are an amazing resource for their assistive technology lab, adaptive equipment, and inclusive events. Their donated durable medical equipment program is very similar to what we do but with medical equipment instead of clothing. (photos 23-33 are of free meidcal equipments and the assistive technology lab)

Willmar Area Arts Council is looking for textile and fiber arts for our upcoming collaboration exhibit with Community Closet!

🗓️Exhibit will run from June 1-July 30
📍Art drop off will be May 30-31
🎉 Reception will be Thursday July 30 from 4-6pm at the Willmar Education and Arts Center

• Feminine/Womens sizes: Medium shorts, 0-8 shorts, & Medium leggings/sweatpants
