We’re so very excited to welcome our 2026-27 youth exchange student to Willmar! Lojza comes to us from the Czech Republic!

He was greeted at the airport today by his first host family Art & Annette Benson (& their cute grandson Beckett) and our Youth Exchange Officer, Bill Adams.

Thanks to Jackson Gregory—Agronomy Manager at the Belgrade Co-op—for his interesting and informative presentation on the current state of our local agriculture industry.

We learned about soil sampling, fertilizer application, why the Iran war is causing a huge spike in fertilizer prices, and a concerning outbreak of Tar Spot on corn crops in our region.

We always appreciate these afternoon presentations that keep us better informed and connected to our communities. Great work, Jackson!

It’s Week 2 of Rockin’ Robbins and we are ready to rock the island with Spooncat! and the J***y Holm Band!

Open Act Spooncat! visits Rockin’ Robbins for the second time, hailing from Mike Gramm’s neck of the woods in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They are full of talent, horns and good vibes, so get there early to catch this amazing band! Spooncat! takes the stage at 5 PM with happy hour specials running from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Next up, it’s the legend himself, Johnny Holm! J***y has been whipping up audiences with all the songs you know and love, so get ready to do some serious lawn dancing tonight. J***y shares lead vocals with his uber talented daughter, Jordan, plus an amazing group of musicians who love to have fun!

The weather is going to be perfect and we can’t wait to see you out at the island for Week 2 of Season 10!!

Who knew there was so much happening at the Willmar Public Library? 📚
Our Rotary members enjoyed an incredibly informative presentation last week, and let's just say... the questions kept coming! We learned about the variety of programs and resources available for children, teens, and adults. From summer activities to new technology, the library truly offers something for everyone.

We also took a walk through the library's history—from its earliest location to today's building... and even got an update on the current roofing project (every great story deserves a new roof!).

⚾️💙 Rotary is more than service—it’s also about having fun!
Recently, members of our Rotary club and families enjoyed a beautiful Saturday cheering on the Minnesota Twins. Events like these give us a chance to strengthen connections, build friendships, and enjoy time together outside of our service projects.

We had a fantastic day at the ballpark and look forward to many more memories together!

The Rotary Club recently had the opportunity to learn from the New London-Spicer Robotics Club, the Toolcats, and we were incredibly impressed!

Robotics provides students with an exciting, hands-on opportunity to collaborate as a team while designing, building, and programming robots. Each year, students tackle new challenges that develop valuable skills in engineering, coding, problem-solving, and teamwork!

The Toolcats have achieved impressive success in both regional and national competitions. Thank you to the Toolcats for sharing your passion and talents with us. The future is bright with students like these leading the way!

As part of Rotary's Annual Epic Day of Service on June 2, Rotarians had the honor of serving coffee and donuts to 37 military veterans at the Willmar Community Center. It was a small gesture with purpose—to thank these heroes for their service and spend time serving those who have given so much for us.

We are grateful for the opportunity to connect, share conversations, and show our appreciation to the veterans in our community. ❤️🤍💙
