We acquired a donation of pears that were close to spoilage. Through research, I determined that they can make a healthy treat, but I also discovered that the seeds contain cyanide and rotten pears are not suitable for consumption. Therefore, I have been sorting and cutting them up, then dispersing them. The cows are particularly fond of them, whereas the goats and sheep are less enthusiastic. We are disposing of the remaining pears in the woods, placing them in various areas for wildlife.

Messy the sheep has given his outside shelter two hooves up. Now that it's not freezing anymore, I told his human it was time for him to get his own pad, no more crashing in the cabin. We aren't sure if Messy is human, dog, or sheep 😂🤦‍♀️. Spoiled pretty much sums it up 🤷‍♀️ Bottle babies truly are great

What a blessing for the farm. Our Church/School needed to have the playground disassembled so the new equipment could come in Monday and be installed. We told them we had the capabilities to get it down for them. The goats, sheep and Hope are going to have so much fun. There are a few pieces we need replace and they will have a kingdom for hours of enrichment. We love to recycle ♻️ and reuse. Thank you Winfield Heights

This morning our 7 yoa asked how buzzards dont get rabies. She looked it up and found this video. Very informational because they truly do have have many assets and they can't get rabies. I love that she is so inquisitive.

It's been a wild ride lately. Our tiny human survived the 1st grade. Summer is officially here. We had a couple of days of school wrap-up activities and my better half had a medical procedure today, so we've been MIA from the farm. He did manage to clear the last of this line, though, so we can finally finish the goat pasture and separate those pesky goats from the sheep. Silver linings, right? Now we get to put our tree cleaning skills to use. I went along and picked up the smaller firewood size pieces before he came thru with the mulcher. Going to have a Jumpstart on firewood and smoker wood this year. The thought of a fire in this heat makes me wanna leave it 🙈
