To all ROOT volunteers we are a-go for Gulf CI ( 500 Ike Steele Road Wewahitchka, FL 32465) on Aug. 8th. We have an on-site time of 6am. They want us in by 6:30am. Tom and I will be staying at:
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Panama City-Tyndall

Fellowship dinner 6:30pm will be at:

To all the ROOT Motorcycle Prison Ministry volunteers, supporters and anybody that follows Root. As you know once a month the ministry goes to a different prison in the state of Florida.
On our last prison yard event, DeSoto CI in Arcadia FL, our sound system stopped working due to an electrical surge. We were able to continue the day because we had invited the chapel praise team to come out with us, with their equipment to the yard.
I took the sound system home and tried again to see if I could get it working to no avail.
In over 20 years this is our third sound system, the first two lasting 10 years a piece and the third one being purchased about a year and a half ago, being a different brand and cheaper than the first two.
So we are asking for prayers and donations to be able to purchase a sound system that is similar to the first two so we will be able to get many years out of it.

Due to an upper administration staff change, they have decided to reschedule us to a later date (to be determined). We will not be replacing with another institution. What a wonderful day today, on the yard at DeSoto CI. It was super hot and the yard was on fire, with the power of the Holy Spirit working.
The DeSoto CI praise team came out, because of technical difficulties, saved the day.

To all ROOT volunteers, I just had a checkout meeting with DeSoto CI. We will be on site at 6:30 a.m. and start coming in at 7:00 a.m. we will be doing the perimeter run around that time. All bikes are welcome to do the perimeter run, but they are only allowing five bikes on the yard. We hope that all that bring their bike with them will do the perimeter run to help wake these gentlemen up. Tom will be in touch with the five going into the yard. I will have details of hotels and restaurant tonight. Please let me know if you are able to make the event on June 13th at DeSoto CI.

To all ROOT Motorcycle Prison Ministry volunteers. I just got a phone call from Okaloosa. The warden has canceled the event for tomorrow due to severe thunderstorms going through the area. I apologize to any and all volunteers that will be losing money on this trip. As Tom and I will not be able to get refunded for this trip either. I will be making individual calls as well

Another amazing day with ROOT Motorcycle Prison Ministry. We spent the day with the ladies at Lowell work camp. The Lord showed out in a mighty way; there were so many divine appointments and tears shed. It was very hot, but that did not stop these soldiers for Christ. Sylvester, one of our volunteers, celebrated his birthday today with the ladies, and they all sang to him

Penny and I have been leading a discipling class at the Florida women's reception center for nearly 4 years, every Thursday night.
Through the years as we see ladies come and go we have an average of 35 to 40 ladies that not only attend the class but are encouraged to go into the compound to make disciples.
We are in need of 40 books for the new session. We are looking for 40 sponsors to help purchase the books on systematic theology.
