All of our Spotlight open mics are all-ages, but tomorrow's annual collaboration with the James Memorial Art Center is 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 kid-friendly. 😊 Thank you to _peak_photography for capturing these photos back in 2024 so you can get a preview of the event… including the chalk art contest with cash prizes!

Month after month, you guys break our record for the number of advance open mic signups. Which is great, but it's always a bummer to let you know that we're once again wait list only for Friday's event. 😞 We have 𝗧𝗪𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗬-𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 locals already signed up to sing or play, so we may not have time for everyone.

Our next Spotlight featured artist is 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻! Timothy is a young local with a killer voice & great musical instincts. We're so excited to highlight his talent at our special 𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗗𝗢𝗢𝗥 open mic on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟭!

Before we stop raving about our 2026 workshop, we wanted to give ONE more heartfelt shoutout to Williston State College! Thanks again for letting us host part of our workshop in your space & for being our signature sponsor.

Congratulations to our 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 cohort! We're still enjoying the afterglow of last week's concert, made possible by a truly incredible community. Thank you to everyone who came out to listen & support, as well as to our signature sponsor, Williston State College!

We made a number of changes to our workshop format this year. Among them, we had 3 bands instead of 2, worked 5 days instead of 3, recruited more local instructors, & charged a small registration fee. Every one of these changes created a better experience for participants & instructors alike. We can't wait to keep experimenting!

One thing that didn't change was our commitment to intergenerational collaboration. This year's participants ranged in age from 12 to 71, setting our program apart from most others in the state, which exclusively favor youth.

Can't wait to see what we keep building together. See you next time!
