Happy to have spent the day in Napoleon with Lutheran Social Services of Northwestern Ohio, Luther Home of Mercy, Filling Homes and Genacross Lutheran Services leadership to share ministry updates and information. Our five organizations have been meeting for many years now specifically to share our stories.

Today, the artist at Soaring Arts Studio led us through an exciting paint activity...ceramic crosses all decorated by our own creative spirit.

We were also joined by Pastor Sarah of the Northwestern Ohio Synod. Always good to share greetings from the Bishop and his staff.

May God continue to bless our five ministries through the dedication of our staff, volunteers, artists and guiding us in our efforts to provide the best programs and services for those in our care.

A message from our affiliate Lutheran Social Services of Northwestern Ohio. Our hearts are heavy, but we know the resilence of our neighbors and love of God will be our strength.

This past weekend, our hearts were deeply saddened by the tragic events that occurred at this year's 53rd Old West End Festival.

LSSNWO extends our sincerest prayers, love, and support to all those affected. We lift up every victim, every family member, every friend, and every community member in support & prayer.

This is our neighborhood, and our doors are open to anyone that is in need of support during this difficult time.

We want to celebrate 40 years of Ordination for our Pastor of Lutheran Ministries of Mercy, Rev. Dr. Denise Brown to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. (ELCA)

In service to our ministries, Pastor Denise brings the word of God and love of Jesus to our residents and clients of Filling Homes and Luther Home of Mercy.

Her contagious smile, willingness to sing our residents favorite songs of Jesus Loves Me and This Little Light of Mine over and over again and her compassion are just a few of her many attributes that make worshipping with her so special. 💖

Pastor Denise celebrates weekly prayer services, is present at bedsides of clients who are ill and makes each remembrance service a time of sharing all of the beauty of heavens welcome. We are grateful that 27 years ago the ministry of serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities won her heart...because in return she is loved too! We are grateful for the impact she has made on the lives of those in our care, their families and our staff and volunteers.

We pray for God's continued blessings for our Pastor Denise. 🙏🦋🌊⭐️
