THIS is why we golf. ❤️⛳
Eight years ago, Robert’s family was told their little boy may never wake up.
After a near-fatal drowning accident, they left the hospital facing a future no parent could have prepared for.
But Robert had other plans.
He woke up.
And year after year, step after step, he has continued to surpass expectations.
Today, Robert walks. He talks. He laughs. He plays.
And now, he desperately wants to learn to read.
Robert recently began reading lessons at Burch, and his family is already watching those first victories happen. He is recognizing consonants. He is learning how to properly hold a pencil.
To some, those may sound like small things.
To Robert and his family, they are HUGE.
Because for Robert, learning to read isn’t simply about school.
It means independence.
It means confidence.
It means another door opening in a life where so many doors were once expected to remain closed.
This is why we do what we do.
And this is why we golf. ⛳
On September 21, 2026, we will come together at Margaritaville Lake Resort – Lake Conroe for our Drive for Dyslexia Golf Tournament, benefiting Burch Learning & Literacy Foundation.
