Willis Christmas Parade

Willis Christmas Parade The 2nd Saturday in December at 10:00 a.m. Parade is at 10am and goes down Campbell St in Willis

Entry is FREE & open to anyone that would like to participate.

Registration is open until Nov. 26th! We usually have about 1500 participants and approx. 5,000 spectators. The online registration form link is on this page if you scroll down & look for the Registration Link. You can also find it on the City of Willis web site.

Dr. Kimberley James,
our highly regarded Superintendent of WISD, is our 2025 Parade Grand Marshal, and we couldn’t be more excited !

[ About our Grand Marshal ]
Dr. James has garnered many accolades and awards over the years including Region 2 Principal of the Year, PTA Principal of the Year and was a Texas State Principal of the Year Finalist. In 2022, she was named a Region 23 Outstanding Women in Education and in 2023 was chosen as a member of The Forum for Educational Leadership. She also led many campuses to the top of the accountability system, receiving gold performance acknowledgments for eight straight years.

Dr. James holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, a Master's degree in education administration from Stephen F. Austin University and a bachelor’s degree in Education from Southwest Texas State University.

Hi everyone!
This year’s Christmas Parade will be held Saturday December 13, 2025 at 10am.

We have secured a better parade route going down Hwy 75 through town on a main thoroughfare…… finally!!!

Because we were rained out last year, we are going with the same theme as last year and we are proud to have our grand marshal Dr. Kimberly James.

To the families of Willis,

First, we want you to know that the Willis Parade, though funded mostly by the City of Willis is planned and executed by a small group of volunteers. The mayor, city council, CDC and City Hall support the parade committee with funding, however the decision to cancel was ours and not theirs.

We extend our sincerest apologies for making the decision to cancel based off of the weather forecast. It is an extremely difficult position to be in when we are receiving notices days before the parade that entries are dropping out, parents are concerned about their children participating, and floats being ruined or unable to be decorated because of the potential weather complications.

Our small group of volunteers spends months planning and preparing for the parade. Please know that for the future, we will try to plan for a backup date. No one is more disappointed than we are.
