Ruby's Foster Village We provide mentoring, tutoring, college and career support services for at risk Youth who are aging out of Foster Care. Founder Novelette Bowen

Every year approxiamately 18,000 youths will empancipate "or aged out from Foster care system." Youths in foster care often do not get the help they need with high school completion, employment, assessing health care, continuing educational oppurtunities,and housing on transitional living arrangements. Studies have shown that youths that left foster care are more likely than those in the general

population not to finish high school , be employed and having to depend on public assistance.Many find themselves in prison, homeless, dead, or a parent at a early age.
