As many of you in the community may know we recently lost a very strong and brave young lady by the name of Siani McCurry. Siani was diagnosed with Leukemia in March 2012 and received a Bone Marrow Transplant in November 2012. As a result of the bone marrow transplant, Siani began to experience the severest form of Graft vs. Host Disease which attacked her skin, sinuses, intestines and lungs. Thro

ughout her sickness Siani always fought hard and remained “Siani Strong”. Siani has touched many lives and we have developed Siani Strong Foundation to continue to share her message of strength and to bring awareness to issues surrounding Bone Marrow Transplants. will provide financial and emotional support to parents and/or families of an adolescent Bone Marrow Transplantation patient who has a post-transplant complication such as Graft Versus Host Disease (GVHD).
