Sgt. John Franklin Harlow was honored today with the unveiling of his Veteran Memorial Plaque that will be displayed on our Veterans Honor Wall here in the Nutrition Center. Sgt. Harlow served in Vietnam and was wounded, earning him the award of a Purple Heart. He also received a Bronze Star for Valantry and a Meritorious Bronze Star. These plaques are done strictly through donations, and are not a part of our budget. Congratulations, Sgt. Harlow!!

Don't forget to go support the Williamsville Fire Department Chile Auction on Saturday, Chile starts at 4 and auction starts at 6. Great food, people, and cause. This will be held at the fire house in Williamsville.

So thankful we got to have his 100th birthday celebration with him at the Nutrition Center, on October 1, just two days prior to his passing.

Don't forget about BINGO Night this Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 5-8pm. Join us for a few games or all night. Delicious concessions of juicy burgers, nachos, and desserts will be available for purchase.

We will also have a Fall Basket pot shot. The sales of tickets for this basket will help cover the costs of our brand new **drumroll*** WEBSITE!!!!
Launching soon but first a HUGE thank you to our supporter Timothy Hicks for sharing his skills, time, and talent to make this all a reality! Tim donated his time but we still need to cover the costs of web hosting.
Tickets are $5 and winner will be drawn once all shots are sold.

We honored Mr. Troy Hale today, as he celebrated his 100th birthday!! We had cake and ice cream, and lots of cards. He even had one from President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump! I requested that card for him a couple months ago, to ensure there would be enough time for it to arrive. Mr. Hale had family and friends to attend, to.celebrate. The cake had 2 names on it. Ms. Viola Boyer Crites will turn 103 on October 6. We were going to celebrate both of the birthdays. But Ms. Crites was not up to coming today.
