Our vision is to bring strong women together to influence our community positively.

We are a nonprofit organization that focuses on women’s empowerment, changing the narrative of women competing with one another.

And when you walk into a room, it’s easy to focus on who you should meet, what connections you can make, or what opportunities might come your way.

But what if you came to the table for yourself, too?

To enjoy a beautiful evening. To have a conversation that has nothing to do with work. To meet someone who sees things a little differently. To laugh, be inspired, and remember how good it feels to simply be part of something.

That’s what Gather Around the Table is all about.

An intimate farm-to-table evening with good food, w**e, music, candlelight, and the opportunity to connect with an incredible community.

Of course, meaningful connections and new opportunities may happen along the way. But you don’t have to make every moment productive for it to be valuable.

Sometimes, the best thing you can do for yourself is pull up a chair.

We’ve been talking about giving yourself grace and remembering that sometimes the pause is more powerful than the push.

This week, let’s add one more thing to the mix: allow for the pivot.

Plans change. Things don’t always go the way we expected. And sometimes the path forward looks different than the one we originally imagined.

That doesn’t mean you’re off track.

It might mean there’s another way forward.

So this Monday, give yourself permission to pause, adjust, and pivot when you need to.

And maybe make a little room for something different this fall.

Gather Around the Table is our next Power of the Pack of WNY event, and we’re creating an evening that’s all about slowing down, enjoying good food, and connecting around the table.

We’re so used to pushing through that when we pause, we can mistake it for falling behind.

But giving yourself grace means recognizing that sometimes you need to slow down, regroup, and simply be.

And maybe we need to extend that same grace to others.

When someone takes a pause, don’t assume they’re slacking, falling behind, or giving up. Maybe they’re doing exactly what they need to do to keep going.

We don’t always know what someone else is carrying.

Give yourself grace.
Give others grace.
And remember, a pause isn’t a step backward.

Sometimes, it’s what makes the next step possible.
