Fostering myths, debunked 🐾🧡

You don’t need months of free time or a “perfect” situation to make a difference. Sometimes, all a dog needs is a safe place to land while they wait for their forever home.

Because of your support, we were able to help Wags & Walks say yes to sweet Etta. 🤍

Etta came into their care as a young Rottweiler puppy in incredibly poor condition—severely underweight, weak, and facing serious gastrointestinal complications. Wags & Walks was able to provide Etta with the extensive medical care she needed, including hospitalizations, surgery, specialized nutrition, medications, and continued support from her dedicated foster.

Despite everyone’s best efforts, Etta’s condition remained incredibly serious and complex. We recently received the heartbreaking news that it was time to say goodbye.

While Etta didn’t get the long, healthy life we all hoped for, your generosity helped make sure she spent her final chapter surrounded by love, comfort, and people fighting for her every step of the way.

Rest easy, sweet Etta. You were so loved. 🤍🐾

Popcorn’s second chance 🐾🤍

After being hit by a car and suffering a severe leg fracture, this sweet 1-year-old Pomeranian needed surgery to get back on his feet. Popcorn received the care he needed, including surgery to repair his leg with a steel plate.

And the update we’ve all been waiting for: Popcorn is fully recovered, getting stronger every day, and living with his forever family. 🥹🐶

Popcorn has already started his next chapter, and Wags & Walks can’t wait to watch this resilient little guy’s story continue.

Meet Future Service Dog Dexter🧡🐾

The honor of naming Dexter in memory of Jessie Pegula beloved German Shepherd, Dexter, who passed away unexpectedly.
Seeing Jess meet him for the first time made this full-circle moment even more special.

While he carries the name of a very loved pup, this Dexter is beginning a journey of his own, training to one day become a Service Dog and change the life of a Veteran.

We’re so proud to be a small part of his story and can’t wait to watch all that’s ahead for Dexter🤍

Every dog deserves the chance to feel safe, loved, and healthy. 🧡

When Puffin came into our care, she was just four months old and battling demodex mange that had caused severe hair loss. She needed treatment, patience, and someone willing to believe in her.

Now, she’s exactly where she belongs, in a loving forever home, growing stronger every day and getting the fresh start every puppy deserves.

Stories like Puffin’s are why we do what we do. Every medical case requires time, resources, and specialized care, but because of this incredible community, we’re able to keep showing up for dogs who need us most.

In Puffin’s honor, donations made toward our medical dogs are being generously matched, doubling the impact of every gift and helping even more pups get the second chance they deserve.🐶

Against the odds, Ginger kept all eight of her puppies safe.

Found living beneath a deserted house, she spent her days searching for food and water before returning to care for her babies. By the time she was rescued, Ginger was severely underweight, but somehow she had managed to keep every single puppy alive.

Thanks to your support, Ginger and her puppies received the veterinary care they needed through Brother Wolf Animal Rescue and were placed in loving foster homes. Today, they’re thriving with their forever families.

Meet Carrot and Turnip, two of Ginger’s pups who are now living the lives they always deserved🧡🐶

Sometimes the best stories are the simplest ones.

When our founder, Jess, and her husband, Taylor, were navigating the loss of Tucker, a simple act of kindness turned into something much bigger. After supporting rescue efforts in the past, they experienced firsthand the impact of giving a dog a second chance.

Mabel, a rescue pup, was trained and placed with their family, a reminder that support for rescue doesn’t just change one life, it creates a ripple effect for so many others.

At A Lending Paw, we’re proud to celebrate stories like this and the power of giving back🧡
