It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Lois Briggs, a cherished member of our glass club family. Lois served faithfully in our club office for three years, through October 2014, and continued to generously volunteer during our convention each year through 2025.

Lois was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, dedication, and warm spirit touched so many lives within our club and throughout her local community. She gave her time selflessly and always made others feel welcome and valued.

Her presence will be greatly missed, but her legacy of service, friendship, and compassion will remain in our hearts always.

Please keep Lois’s family, friends, and all who knew her in your thoughts during this difficult time.

Just a reminder for anyone who plans to consign pieces for our annual convention auction. We must have these pieces in our possession no later than April 30, as we normally catalog and photograph by May 15. This way, your pieces can be included in the online bidding platform provided by Randy Clark (Dexter City Auction) and get maximum exposure before the sale. Thank you!

To all Fenton Art Glass Collectors of America dues-paying members,

It has been brought to our attention that there have been questions surrounding the bylaws revision included in the latest Butterfly Net newsletter. Please read the following to be better informed before casting your vote.

What was proposed to the FAGCA membership is not an amendment to the bylaws. It is a complete bylaws revision, which, according to Robert's Rules of Orders states: "Changes of the bylaws that are so extensive and general that they are scattered throughout the bylaws should be effected through the substitution of an entirely new set of bylaws, called a revision." If you will look at page 4 of the October/November Butterfly Net, you will see that the heading is "FAGCA Bylaws Revision."

A bylaws revision is a completely new document. If the bylaws revision does not pass, the FAGCA must adhere to the current bylaws, which can be found by going to our website, fagcainc.org, and scrolling to the bottom of our home page.
