Ricky is a beautiful fawn brindle American bully mix who is about two years old and he weighs 60 pounds. He's very curious about cats so we will say no cats, he's been fine with other dogs and he loves people. He's quiet, leash walks, and is very gentle. Ricky is being neutered today and we are taking adoption applications for him. If you're interested in meeting and possibly adopting Ricky, email [email protected] for an application, or you can pick one up in the office when you come to meet him.

Poland is earning praise for a smart new approach to animal welfare: using thermal-imaging drones at night to spot dogs left chained outside in freezing temperatures.

Inspectors can now scan large areas after dark when these cases are hardest to detect and animals face the greatest risk of hypothermia. While Polish law already bans chaining dogs outdoors in extreme cold, enforcement has long been difficult in remote areas and during nighttime hours.

With thermal cameras detecting heat signatures from above, authorities are able to identify animals in distress before conditions become deadly. It’s a striking example of technology once associated with surveillance being repurposed to protect vulnerable animals instead.🥶👏🏻

Harley is a 2 1/2 year old heeler mix and a full figured boy at 65 pounds. He came to us when his owner passed away. Sadly no one has shown any interest in him, we keep trying, but we've had no luck. He's a nice boy, he's housebroken and leash walks, he's gentle and sweet. Harley is current on vaccines, deworming, and flea/tick prevention. If you're interested in meeting and possibly adopting Harley, email us at [email protected] for an application, call with questions 859-824-9403.
