Breaking the sound barrier, again. Today, President Trump issued an executive order that effectively lifts the 52-year ban on civil supersonic flight over land in the U.S. It directs the FAA to repeal the supersonic speed limit as long as aircraft don’t produce an audible sonic boom on the ground. This presidential action comes after a bipartisan group of key Congressional leaders introduced the Supersonic Aviation Modernization Act in May.

Hey folks! Originally, we had planned to have a restart meeting this evening. But I didn’t get a post or flyers up with enough notice for everyone and several members have a lot going on this week. But stay tuned! I’ll give everyone enough notice of our first meeting to come in the next few weeks. Feel free to leave a comment or message about times or evenings that may work best for our chapter. I’m currently looking at the 3rd Tuesday of each month but that doesn’t have to be written in stone. Once again, no meeting this evening but we will announce it in the next few days. We had an awesome evening at the PKB Pilots Hangar Christmas Party! Thanks so much to Terri Wyatt for being such a gracious host and thanks to Kurt and Shannon Lerch for going all out with making arrangements and supplying some awesome food. Also, a huge thanks for everyone that was able to attend and share some great food, friendship, laughs, and fun! A good time was had by all! Wishing everyone Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas!

Wing view Wednesday! Don’t forget about the PKB Pilots Hangar Christmas Party this Saturday at 5:30pm at Terri Wyatt’s hangar on the South Ramp. You can access the South Ramp by turning onto Mullberry Road from Route 31. So bring your family, a covered dish, and beverages of choice and enjoy some food and fun with your aviator friends.
