What an incredible day for flying at the Martin County Airport!
The Martin County Wright Flight program was an overwhelming success as approximately 100 students from Riverside Middle School, Hobgood Charter School, South Creek Middle School and Bear Grass Charter School came together for an unforgettable experience in aviation. Each student had the opportunity to receive their own personal flight around Martin County; an experience many will remember for the rest of their lives.
Programs like Wright Flight do far more than introduce students to aviation; they inspire confidence, encourage goal setting and show young people that opportunities are limitless when they work hard and believe in themselves. It is our sincere hope that this experience ignites a passion within these students and perhaps inspires some of them to become the next generation of pilots, aviation professionals, or community leaders.
A special thank you goes out to all of the pilots, volunteers, educators, and organizers who made this day possible for the students of Martin County.
