Looking to make a positive impact right here in our community?
PA-Connect Adaptive Activities Center is looking for friendly, compassionate volunteers to join our team!
🌟PA-Connect offers an engaging, welcoming space filled with crafts, games, social events, and recreational activities for people of all abilities. Whether you have just one spare hour a week or a whole afternoon, any time you can share makes a massive difference for our members.
What volunteers help with:
- Welcoming members at the door and helping new visitors sign in
- Assisting with simple craft, game, and activity setups
- Giving quick tours and answering basic questions
- Keeping activity areas tidy, sanitized, and organized

No specialized background is needed—just an encouraging attitude and a willingness to help out! The onboarding process is simple, including basic references, free standard background clearances, and shadowing current volunteers during a shift.

🍂✨ Hello, Fall! ✨🍂

Our members have been hard at work bringing some seasonal color to the center, and this past Wednesday, they officially completed our collaborative fall banner! 🖍️🍁

Every detail—from cozy sweaters and warm drinks to bright pumpkins and autumn leaves—was colored and brought to life by our wonderful community. It turned out absolutely amazing and really captures the vibrant spirit of our center.

Next time you visit, be sure to take a look right outside the center doors in the hallway to see everyone's hard work on display! 🎨🧡

We want to send a heartfelt shoutout to Annalise Berger, a junior at Loyalsock Township School District, who chose PA-Connect Adaptive Activities Center for her community project!
Thanks to Annalise’s generous donation of pumpkins and festive craft supplies, our participants are all set for our upcoming pumpkin painting activity! Community support like this makes our programming thrive, and we are so grateful for young leaders in our community who step up to make a direct, positive impact.

Fall fun is in full swing at the PA-Connect Adaptive Activities Center! 🍂🎃

We had a wonderful time making adorable pipe-cleaner pumpkin crafts and enjoying some delicious pumpkin dip together! Swipe through to see all the smiles, creativity, and good times. 🧡✨

🎨 Next Week’s Activity:

Don’t forget about the Transition Conference '26 happening this Friday at the Pennsylvania College of Technology Lifelong Education Center (LEC)!
* Time: Vendor hours: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
* Who it's for: Students in grades 10–12 with a 504 plan or IEP, along with parents, guardians, and community members across Bradford, Clinton, Lycoming, Sullivan, and Tioga counties.
* Topics: Great breakout sessions on postsecondary education, employment, and community engagement!

PA-Connect Adaptive Activities Center is heading to the Transition Conference '26 this Friday, October 16th, and we would love to see you there!
This event is open to the public, welcoming parents, guardians, service providers, and community members from across Bradford, Clinton, Lycoming, Sullivan, and Tioga counties. We will be participating as an event vendor, so make sure to stop by the PA-Connect table to chat with us, pick up resources, and learn all about our adaptive programs and upcoming community activities.

Event Details:
* Event: Transition Conference '26 (Hosted by BLaST IU 17 & Pennsylvania College of Technology)
* Date: Friday, October 16th
* Vendor Hours: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM (Full conference runs 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM)
* Location: Lifelong Education Center (LEC) at Penn College
* Focus Areas: Community engagement, postsecondary education and training, and employment pathways

🎨🍁 Kicking off October with community and creativity at PA Connect Adaptive Activity Center! 🍂✨
We started off the month working on placemats for the upcoming Annual Assembly for the United Churches of Lycoming County! We love giving back to our community, and this creative project will be ongoing all throughout the month of October—so there is plenty of time to add your personal touch.
🥣🎃 Looking ahead to next week: We will be making delicious pumpkin dip! Be sure to bring your favorite snacks to dip (apples, pretzels, graham crackers—whatever you like!). We will also have vanilla wafers available to share while supplies last.
Come join the fun, catch up with friends, and get into the fall spirit with us! 🧡

🎲 Game Day Recap & Big Community Art News at PA-Connect! 🎮🧩
We had an absolute blast at our Bring Your Own Game Day today! From retro video game battles and challenging puzzles to karaoke tunes, the energy was unmatched. Thank you to everyone who brought their favorites and shared the fun with us!

🎨 Kicking Off Next Wednesday, October 7th: Month-Long Placemat Art Project!

Next week begins a very special project:
We are decorating dining placemats for the United Churches of Lycoming County (UCLC) Annual Assembly Dinner!
The wonderful folks at UCLC would love to enjoy our community's vibrant, creative artwork at each seat while they share their meal.

Work at your own pace:
Start your design next Wednesday, store your placemat safely right here at the center between visits, and keep adding to it each week throughout October!

Completion Deadline:
All placemats must be finished before Thursday, November 19th so they can be prepared for the tables.

Save the Date:
Everyone is welcome to attend the UCLC Annual Assembly on Thursday, November 19, 2026, at 6:30 PM at Pine Street UMC in Williamsport.
Come ready next Wednesday with your best colors and creative ideas—we can't wait to see what you create! 🖍️✨
