What happens when you take teenagers from four churches, equip them with power tools and cleaning supplies, and put them on work sites?

Transformation.

This past week, we teamed up with youth from Second Avenue Church, Mt. Calvary UMC Harrisburg, PA, and Faith Church to mulch, w**d, paint, organize, clean, and offer hope to those in our community who needed a helping hand. And we can't say thank you enough to everyone who sacrificed part of their summer to be a part of this incredible week!

⏰ LAST CHANCE TO SIGN UP FOR TRANSFORM: YOUTH EDITION! ⏰

Time is running out! Registration for Transform: Youth Edition closes July 5 (THIS SUNDAY), and we don't want you to miss out.

August 2–5, students will spend the week serving local homeowners and nonprofits, building friendships, and making memories through service, games, fellowship, and community. Participants stay overnight at the church, and all meals are provided throughout the week.

Volunteer projects may include painting, yard work, home repairs, light carpentry, and other opportunities to serve our community. Each morning begins with breakfast at the CLC from 7:00–8:00 AM before teams head out to their job sites for the day.

Whether you're coming with friends or looking to meet new people, Transform: Youth Edition is a chance to grow, serve, and be part of something bigger than yourself.

⚡ TRANSFORM: YOUTH EDITION IS ALMOST HERE! ⚡

August 2–5, students will spend three days serving the community, building friendships, and growing together. Participants stay overnight at the church, volunteer during the day, enjoy games and fellowship in the evenings, and share meals together throughout the week.

Transform volunteers work in teams at local homes and nonprofit organizations, helping with projects like painting, yard work, home repairs, and light construction. Breakfast is served daily at the CLC from 7:00–8:00 AM, followed by a day of service until around 4:00 PM.

Whether you're coming with friends or hoping to meet new ones, Transform: Youth Edition is a great way to make a difference while being part of an incredible community.

TRANSFORM: YOUTH EDITION RETURNS AUGUST 2–5!

Looking for a week filled with service, community, and fun? Transform: Youth Edition gives students the chance to stay overnight at the church, serve alongside friends, meet new people, and make memories that last long after the week is over. Meals are provided, including dinner each night and breakfast and lunch each day.

During Transform, volunteer teams partner with local homeowners and nonprofits throughout the community. Projects may include yard work, painting, light carpentry, home repairs, and other hands-on service opportunities. Each day begins with breakfast at the CLC (601 Market St., Williamsport) from 7:00–8:00 AM before teams head to their work sites until approximately 4:00 PM.

LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOLUNTEER IS TODAY! From June 22-26, First Church will have Vacation Bible School! At Vacation Bible School, children will learn about classic stories from the Bible while crafting, playing, dancing, and making new friends. This year's theme is "Rainforest Falls."
If you are interested in volunteering, visit firstchurch.cc/vbs and find "Volunteer Registration." Fill out the form completely and you'll be all set!
And don't worry! VBS runs from 9AM-12PM Monday-Friday. You also don't have to volunteer all 5 days! If your schedule only allows for one, you can volunteer for that day! But, if you can volunteer all five days, please sign up as we would be happy to have you! Reach out to Caroline or Brita if you have any questions. Thank you for serving with us!

Mark it in your calendars... Transform: Youth Edition - August 2-5! 📅

Back again for the third year in a row (wow!), Transform: Youth Edition, gives students an opportunity to stay overnight in the church and play games, engage in community and fellowship, and volunteer with their friends. This is a great opportunity to make some new friends and get to know your friends better! Dinner is provided each night, along with breakfast and lunch.

Some general information about Transform: During the week of TRANSFORM, volunteers are sent out in teams to a local homeowner's property or a local nonprofit, where they will serve alongside other community members to serve people who could use a helping hand. We do home repair and light carpentry, yard work, painting, and other similar work. Each day you volunteer, we will be meeting for a provided breakfast at our CLC building (601 Market St, Williamsport, PA) from 7:00AM - 8:00AM. At 8:00AM, we depart to our job sites where we work until 4:00PM each day, or until the work is done.
