Scouting America Susquehanna Council This is the official page of the Susquehanna Council, BSA, serving youth and adult volunteers of five counties in central PA.

Overview of Council Goals:
1. Provide quality council level Activities for our Scouting Units annually to supplement the Unit's program.
2. Assist Scout Units in achieving the National Journey to Excellence Gold Standard for Advancement.
3. Provide a camp facility and program that annually meets the standards of the Boy Scouts of America and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
4. Achieve the Council

and Districts' Journey to Excellence Gold Standard results for percentage of direct contact leaders trained by november 30th of each year.
5. Recruit a Council Membership Committee.
6. Continue to develop and promote Risk Management throughout all units in the council.
7. Ensure that the council is current to best serve the Districts, Units, and Chartered Organizations.
8. Assess the assets of the council to determine if the office is meeting the needs of the council operation.
9. Annually review with neighboring councils the opportunities to share services.
10. Meet the Journey to Excellence Gold level ratio of youth serving executives to available youth.
11. Develop a full Commissioner Staff
12. Meet gold level of Journey to Excellence UVTS, which shows that 50% of the units are visited 6 times per year.
13. Establish a marketing committee.
14. Balance the budget yearly.
15. Achieve the Board-approved fundraising objectives.
16. Grow the endowment annually.
17. Build a more engaged and cohesive executive board over the next three years.
18. Build engaged district committees, representative of the demographics of the district.
