Today marks the first program day for Leadership Lycoming’s Class of 2027! 🌟

Dwell’s Marketing & Development Director, Alicia, and Board Secretary, Ang, are spending the day exploring Williamsport, learning about our city’s rich history, and gaining a deeper appreciation for the community we serve!

We’re excited to see all they’ll learn, the connections they’ll make, and the experiences they’ll bring back to Dwell throughout this leadership journey! 💙

EEEEKKK!!! We are so honored to be in the final 3 for this incredible grant opportunity. On Tuesday, October 13th, we will take the stage with our friends from the Covation Center and Ronald McDonald House Danville and go for a shot at $110,000.

If Dwell wins this grant, it means BIG BIRTHDAY WISHES for kids in foster and kinship care in our community, as this grant will support our incredible Made To Celebrate (MTC) program. MTC delivers personalized birthday boxes to children in foster and kinship care, reminding them that a whole community believes they were created to be celebrated 🥳.

The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania is looking for more panelists to listen to the presentations and vote for the ONE nonprofit that will receive $110,000 to support its programming. Join us 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟯, 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟲–𝟳 𝗣𝗠 at Montoursville Area High School to hear their presentations, watch community panelists vote and see which nonprofit receives a $110,000 grant in celebration of FCFP’s 110th birthday.

The public is welcome to attend. Come learn about the work these organizations do and share in the announcement that evening.

VanCampen Motors is hosting its 1st Community Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Local businesses and community members are invited to bring a car and decorate their trunks. For every single decorated trunk at the event, VanCampen Motors will make a monetary donation to Dwell Orphan Care. It is a wonderful way to promote your business, connect with neighbors, and help local children.

🎒 150 backpacks. 150 opportunities to help a child feel prepared, cared for, and supported.

We are incredibly grateful to Costy’s Energy Services for their generous donation of 150 brand-new backpacks to Dwell’s Hope Chest Foster Closet!

When children enter foster or kinship care, they often arrive with very little of their own. Having something as simple as a new backpack gives us another practical way to make sure children have what they need as they navigate an already difficult transition.

Thank you, Costy’s Energy Services, for seeing a need and stepping up in such a BIG way. Your generosity will impact so many children and families in our community! 💙

During Kinship Care Month, we’re recognizing the grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and other loved ones who step in when a child needs a safe place to land.

Kinship caregivers often say yes with little time to prepare. They open their homes, adjust their plans, and help children stay connected to the people and places they know.
