Last night the Association negotiating committee met with their counterparts from the district. Two tentative agreements dealing with easily agreed-upon items were signed by PSEA uniserve Doug Rosenberry and director Lori Baer. We failed to find agreement on a third.

Although the district failed to present their expected counter proposal we did discuss what they think a broader agreement would look like.

Next meeting is October 5th.

Yesterday Governor Wolf signed Senate Bill 751 which was promoted by PSEA. The bill is extensive but the two most important elements in it for ESP members is it requires the districts to continue to pay us during the shutdown. Secondly, we will not lose PSERS credit.

On the WASD front, as we work through this challenge you could find that your job will be a bit different than it was prior to the shutdown. Please be flexible and understanding of the situation. If you need to discuss my email is [email protected].

As per Anne Logue: "At this time, Administrators/WASA, Confidential Administrative Support, Custodial, Maintenance and Tax Office Staff only will report to work on Monday, 3/16. All custodians must report beginning at 7:00 a.m. to their normal work location. Administrators, Confidential Administrative Support, Maintenance and Tax Office staff are to report at their regularly scheduled time and locations.
