On Sunday, I stayed close to home to celebrate Father’s Day with my family. We attended the Shiloh Baptist Church in Williamsport. Rev. Raymond Clayton and the Congregation are seeking to join our ABCOPAD Family. Pastor Raymond did a masterful job creating a Father’s Day / Juneteenth sermon, celebrating both Father’s Day and Freedom Day. ABCOPAD Southeast GPS Dan McDowell writes At the Clergy Retreat this past week, I had the pleasure of presenting certificates of appreciation to three of the pastors of the best giving congregations in ABCOPAD for their outstanding support of the Partners in Ministry Offering. Christ Memorial Baptist in Dover, Calvary Baptist in Newark and the First Baptist Church of Norristown are leading the way in the southeast area of our region to help ABCOPAD equip our congregations for vital ministry!

ABCOPAD Southeast GPS Dan McDowell writes Father’s Day weekend is a special time at Siloam Baptist Church in Norristown! On “Super Saturday” the hosted a “Man 2 Man” rally for men featuring Pastor Randy sharing a powerful message on how men are called to connect with one another and build one another up! Afterwards, lunch was served and we enjoyed fellowship together. Siloam’s men’s ministry has big plans this coming year, funded by an ABCOPAD Spring Grant!

The sun has set on another ABCOPAD Clergy Retreat at the beautiful Harvey Cedars Bible Conference. It was a time of deep vertical and horizontal connections; a time to know and be known. It is one of the highlights of the year for pastors and their families in our region. We leave refreshed and renewed as we return to our ministries!

Felicia SWPA GPS writes: it was such a pleasure to join Pastor Scott and First Baptist Church of Greensburg in their Church Counsel meeting. Presentation of an ABCOPAD grant check was made. The funds are being used to enhance their live stream system. Live stream has been a source of exposure of the church to those who would not otherwise be reached. We wish FBC Greensburg well in this endeavor.

ABCOPAD Southeast GPS Dan McDowell writes day one of “Search Me and Know Me” (the ABCOPAD East Clergy Retreat) kicked off with dinner together at Harvey Cedars Bible Conference, followed by a great time of worship and discussion focused on Psalm 139 and it’s implications on our lives as followers of Jesus. Now we are heading out for ice cream!

ABCOPAD Southeast GPS Dan McDowell writes a dozen of us were blessed to be early arrivals at the Clergy Retreat this week on the Jersey Shore. We had the pleasure of sharing dinner together at Smokey’s Barbecue Restaurant- and it was a feast! So grateful for this opportunity to take a Sabbath together!
