Brooklyn’s Emily Flake (New Yorker cartoonist, illustrator, writer, comic and owner of St. Nell's Humor Writing Residence here in Williamsport) brought her reunion party together at Jeremiah’s (Bullfrog Brewery) recently with a IYKYK killer comic lineup from across the tri-state area. One local business reported that her gathering alone accounted for over 2 dozen sales and 50% of revenue for what made a killer sales weekend. It’s Williamsport favorable geographic location, our amazing event venue’s and small business supporters like Emily Flake that help keep downtown Williamsport thriving.

Thank you, Emily, for your past and ongoing investment in Williamsport through St. Nells.

Happy June, Williamsport 🌞 Lot’s to do, as always.

🎂And guess what?! We are celebrating the 2nd birthdays of two downtown staples this month Nomad Distilling Co :: Williamsport (13th) and The Mulberry Moose (22nd). Can you believe it’s only been 2 years?! Make sure to stop by, say happy birthday and check out their special birthday sales and offerings.

And just like that, the old Brozman’s space is occupied! Welcome to Pine Street, Earth Silk + Spice! New boutique yoga studio + wellness store coming to downtown Williamsport in July!

🫖 🤪 Things went a little MAD recently downtown! Alice and the Mad Hatter made an appearance at for a Wonderland Worthy tea party. Mug painting, tea drinking and cupcake designing were all involved of course.

Welcome Home. 🌞 We grabbed a vanilla black tea and a golden milk this morning from and walked on over to our morning meeting at in the sunshine. We met with Bridget Callahan, events coordinator, who walked us through the scheduled renovations upcoming at the historic hotel.

🏨 Removal of the current lobby ceiling revealed the original 1922 architectural intricacies. As the hotel plans to restore the lobby to its original height, walking into the current space allows you catch a glimpse of both the past and future at the same time. New carpet will be placed throughout, while maintaining as much area of the original tile floor as possible.

🛍️ In addition to the lobby changes they will also be adding a new gift shop, directly behind where Mr. Jeeves stands currently. Beyond what can be expected at this type of store they will also be featuring a special blend of being made for and sold exclusively at the hotel.

🛌 A majority of the guest rooms will also be getting an upgrade, anticipated to be completed prior to the Little League World Series this August.

🏗️ And that scaffolding outside? No it won’t be there forever, but it does provide adequate support for the outside stone to be repointed. Temporary inconvenience for what will be a beautiful outcome for this landmark.

✅ Be sure to follow our page as well as that of the Genetti Hotel to stay up-to-date with the latest on their renovations. We can’t wait to go back and document the finished product.
