Meet Janene, our Intake Specialist.

Janene meets with individuals living with HIV who are interested in becoming clients. She learns about each person's needs and determines eligibility for our services. It's often someone's first interaction with us, and she makes sure that first conversation feels welcoming, judgment-free, and easy to navigate.

Not sure which type of HIV test is right for you? Here's a quick breakdown:

✅ Rapid Testing
Uses a finger prick or oral swab, with results in as little as 20 minutes. Great if you want quick answers and peace of mind in one visit.

✅ Lab-Based Testing
Uses a blood draw sent to a lab, with results typically available in a few days. This option can detect HIV earlier after a possible exposure than rapid testing.

Which one is right for you? It depends on your situation: how recent a possible exposure was, how soon you need results, and your personal comfort level. Our team can help you decide what makes sense.

Both options are confidential, judgment-free, and available at our office.

Ready to get tested? Contact us to schedule your appointment.

Ever heard of PEP? It stands for Post-Exposure Prophylaxis. It's an emergency medication that can help prevent HIV after a possible exposure.

Here's what you need to know:

✅ PEP must be started within 72 hours of a possible exposure—the sooner, the better
✅ It's taken daily for 28 days
✅ It may be right for you if you've had a recent possible exposure through unprotected s*x, a condom breaking, s*xual assault, or shared needles

PEP is not a substitute for regular prevention methods like PrEP, but it can be a critical option in an emergency.

Think you may have been exposed? Time matters. Contact us right away. We're here to help, no judgment.

As families settle into new routines this month, it's also a great time to check in with the young people in your life, including conversations about s*xual health.

Talking early and often helps remove stigma and shame, and it lets teens know they can come to you with questions, no matter what.

A few tips for parents and guardians:

✅ Keep the tone open, not judgmental
✅ Use accurate language
✅ Let them know prevention tools (like condoms and PrEP) and testing are normal parts of staying healthy
✅ Remind them: you're a safe person to talk to

Need help starting the conversation? We're here for you and your family.

Since early 2024, our primary care team has completed 215 mental health screenings—because we believe your mental health is just as important as your physical health.

Every primary care patient is screened, and based on the results, our team provides personalized recommendations and connects you with the right support.

Mental health isn't separate from your overall care; it's part of it.

Wellness isn't just physical—it's mental, too. This month, we want to remind you: it's okay to not be okay.

Life can be heavy sometimes, and there's no shame in needing support. Whether it's talking to a friend, taking a quiet moment for yourself, or reaching out to a professional, taking care of your mental health is just as important as anything else.

If you're looking for a place to start, our team can help connect you with mental health resources and support. You don't have to carry it alone.

Some of the most important work happens quietly, behind the scenes, and that's exactly what Kelly does every day.

Kelly keeps us ethical, accountable, and operating at our best. But her impact goes so much further than rules and regulations: she protects our organization, supports our staff, and safeguards the people we serve. Her attention to detail and dedication help build a culture of integrity and trust that everyone benefits from, even when it goes unnoticed.

Thank you, Kelly, for your commitment and the important work you do. We appreciate you!
