Here’s a great new feature on the Empire Trail in Wayne County!
Join us as we celebrate the installation of another bike friendly amenity! A Bike Fixit Station was purchased for Savannah as a final gift from SOAR, a resident-driven grant which worked alongside the people of Clyde, Galen, and Savannah for 11 years before its’ completion at the end of 2024. CCE Wayne administered the SOAR grant which was funded by the Greater Rochester Health Foundation.
This gift is especially useful because Savannah is located along the 750-mile-long Empire State Trail which thousands of cyclist ride on each year from around the world.
We are grateful to Savannah’s Highway Department for installing the station and to the Savannah Chamber of Commerce for providing the wayfinding signage for it.
Cornell Cooperative Extension is pleased to offer this gift which will continue giving to both residents and visitors for years to come.
Hope to see you there!
