Will you be attending Concord University, Marshall University, Shepherd University, or West Virginia University in Fall 2025? If so, consider applying to be an Appalachian Leadership Education Foundation (ALEF) Fellow!

Our Fellows can expect the following benefits during their time in ALEF:
• Receive financial assistance for 8 semesters with the opportunity for GPA-based bonuses
• Foster a leadership skillset applicable to all career fields
• Give back to your community through independent and group service
• Fellowship with likeminded students
• Network with ALEF Fellows and alumni across West Virginia and beyond

Tonight, our Fellows gathered together for our last meeting of the Fall semester. The ALEF team had a lot to celebrate!

One of our Fellows, Bryanna Mills, will be graduating next month. We appreciate all your hard work throughout the last three years and know your future is bright. Remember that your ALEF family is always cheering you on!

We also welcomed Tobi Adebulu into our program. We’re excited for you to begin your ALEF journey and glad to have you on our team, Tobi!

To close our meeting, Kaitlyn Copley passed the presidential torch to Amelia Muscari. We want to thank Kaitlyn for her dedication during her time as president and know Amelia will do an amazing job in her new role!

We’re already counting down the days before we see you all in the new year! We hope everyone has a smooth end to the semester and great holiday season❤️💙🦅

Remember that ALEF’s Coloring Party is tonight from 6:30-8:30 at Subway Sides! Come hang out with the ALEF Fellows and enjoy some coloring, music, and de-stressing in support of The Crayon Initiative!🖍️

We’re also still taking up donations in the Student Center lobby today from 12-3 and at tonight’s event. All amounts are welcome. Even your pocket change can help make a real difference!

Hey, Mountain Lions!
This week, ALEF is taking up donations for the Crayon Initiative, a non-profit that recycles unwanted crayons into new packs that are donated to children’s hospitals across the nation! We will be in the Student Center lobby from 10-3 today and Wednesday, and from 12-3 on Thursday.

Anyone who donates, regardless of amount, will be entered into a drawing for a $15 Starbucks gift card! We also have lots of candy for you to snag while you’re here.😁

Congratulations to our very own ALEF Fellow, Molly Cook, on this well-deserved honor!❤️

Congratulations to Molly Cook and Ben Bailey for being crowned as this year’s Homecoming Royalty! The combined ASA and APO efforts this past week resulted in a clean sweep in all events! Great job everyone!
