Good morning, WJCC Schools families.

Our region is expecting some level of snow this weekend, though exact estimates vary widely. We have and will continue to monitor forecasts and projected conditions with the National Weather Service, Emergency Management, and our partners at the city and county.

Because impact for next week remains relatively unknown, we will be taking steps this week to prepare for a variety of conditions.

Friday, January 23: K-5 elementary students will be sent home with their laptop and charger. Bright Beginnings students will be sent home with at-home learning materials. 6-12 secondary students will be sent home with their devices and materials as usual.

Monday, January 26: This is a scheduled student holiday and will remain as planned. Students do not attend school and will not engage in remote learning on Monday, January 26.

Tuesday, January 27, and further dates: Communication about any potential schedule changes will be shared via our traditional channels (phone call, text message, email, website, social media).

While no schedule changes have been announced at this time, consider reviewing our “Know Before the Snow” reference guides:

This communication is intended to provide ample time to implement the contingency steps necessary in the event of an extended closure.
