Every year, youth riders age 14-21 throughout the North American continent, give everything they have for one goal. One dream to compete with the best of the best in their chosen sport. The North American Junior and Young Rider Championships is the most pretigious competition for youth riders on the North American continent. A team as well as an individual event, the NAJYRC creates a unique high p

erformance atmosphere that fosters collaboration, organization, and a mental toughness that young people will rarely find elsewhere. The NAJYRC helps riders improve but it more importantly creates stronger individuals for lives within the equine community and beyond. The United States Dressage Federation has split the country into 9 regions. Based on performance, riders are chosen to represent their Region on teams of 3 or 4 at the Junior (4th level) or the Young Rider (Prix St. Overall, a region can send one Junior team and one Young Rider team to the NAJYRC. Region 7 consists of youth riders residing in California, Nevada, and Hawaii. With a history of gold, you would think Region 7's legacy would be to win but this is simply not the case. While we strive to be the best we can be our legacy is our resounding team spirit. We rely on our parents, coaches, family, friends and our horses. At the NAJYRC, we get to rely on each other.

USDF YOUTH OUTREACH CLINIC: JUNE 20-21, Hi Hopes Farm in Redlands California.

The Youth Outreach Clinics are an exciting way for youth riders to connect, learn, and grow. These clinics introduce dedicated youth riders to the opportunities of the USDF youth pipeline for development in the sport. Youth may gain hands-on experience as a rider or build their knowledge base as an auditor.

Each two-day clinic is designed to meet the current needs of the youth in the region. The rider’s days will include 45-minute mounted sessions with the instructor, lunchtime lectures with interactive discussion, and an evening gathering. Interested riders are invited through an online application process. There are 8-10 spots available for participants ages 10-21 who are able, at a minimum, to complete a Training Level test.
