GRAND TRAVERSE MEN'S SHED
The work continues at the Grand Traverse Men’s Shed, and every day brings something new to admire. I continue to be amazed by the talent and creativity of our Shedders. Many of these men came from backgrounds completely unrelated to woodworking, yet through shared knowledge, encouragement, and hands-on experience, they are creating incredible projects and learning new skills together.

The Grand Traverse Men’s Shed is a non-profit organization focused on senior men — providing a place to go, something meaningful to do, and most importantly, someone to talk to. The friendships, conversations, and sense of purpose built here are every bit as important as the projects themselves.

Men’s Shed is a worldwide movement with more than 3,000 Sheds across the globe and approximately 30–35 here in the United States. While each Shed operates independently and serves its own local community, they all share the same mission: bringing men together through fellowship, learning, and purpose.

We are proud to be part of that mission here in Northern Michigan.
