With three years in S3DA, Thomas Parent has put in the work to become a stronger, more confident competitor. One memory that stands out from this season? Shooting in the shootdowns at Eastern 3D Nationals in high crosswinds! While the conditions made for a challenge, Thomas said he thought it was a lot of fun. 🏹

One of Thomas's biggest areas of focus has been his mental performance, especially learning to stay calm while competing at national-level events. He credits Lee Hetletved with helping him find the right alignment and maintain his composure in high-pressure situations. That work is helping Thomas build the skills and confidence to pursue some big goals.

And speaking of big goals, Thomas has his sights set on making Team USA and competing at the World Outdoor Target Championship! 🌎 We're excited to see where his dedication takes him next.

Outside of archery, Thomas enjoys playing the saxophone — a talent you might not expect from a competitive archer!

After five years in S3DA, Kenzley McKinney continues to challenge herself and find ways to improve as an archer. One of her biggest focuses this season has been making the switch to a different release — a change that takes patience, practice, and a willingness to keep learning.

Kenzley credits her dad with being a tremendous source of support throughout her archery journey. He's always there to encourage her and help in any way he can, and she says she wouldn't be able to participate in archery without his support. With that encouragement behind her, Kenzley is focused on continuing to practice, improve, and become an even stronger competitor.

Outside of S3DA, Kenzley also competes in IBO, USA Archery, and ASA events. And here's something you might not guess about her: although she can come across as quiet and shy, Kenzley says she really does love to talk! She also enjoys spending time reading her Bible. 💛

Jagger Maupin has been shooting archery for four years, and throughout his journey, he's continued working to become a better, more consistent archer. This season, he focused on improving his form and breaking bad habits to build a stronger foundation for success.

Jagger credits his dad with having the biggest impact on his archery journey. From teaching him the fundamentals to helping him learn everything he needs to know about the sport, his dad has been a constant source of guidance and support along the way.

It's no surprise that 3D archery is Jagger's favorite discipline! He enjoys how it reminds him of hunting and gives him opportunities to develop skills that can help him become a better hunter, too. For Jagger, archery is about more than competition — it's a chance to keep learning and doing what he loves outdoors.

Over the past three years in S3DA, Nora Krieger has continued to grow as an archer, and one of her biggest areas of improvement this season has been the mental side of archery. She's worked hard to understand how to train her mind, build confidence, and strengthen the mental game that helps her perform at her best.

Nora is grateful to Jeremy Garness for introducing her to S3DA and welcoming her into the archery family. She also credits Rob Morgan, who runs a local archery shop, with playing a major role in her journey. From helping her navigate competitions to making equipment adjustments and offering guidance along the way, Rob has been a constant source of support. Nora says she wouldn't be where she is today without him.

Outside of S3DA, Nora competes in NFAA, MAA, USA Archery, 4-H, and JOAD. Her love of the outdoors extends well beyond the range, too! Her family owns a ranch, where she enjoys riding her horse and helping with the cattle. 🐴

One memory Nora especially wanted to share is the first bull elk she harvested with her bow: “One particular hunting memory that has made a lasting impression on me was my first bull elk that I shot with my bow. I was surrounded by my friends and my dad, and it made me feel special. This was one of the best memories of my life.”

With seven years in S3DA, Tripp Higgins knows that becoming a stronger archer takes more than just time on the range. This season, he's been working especially hard on his mental game, learning to strengthen the mindset that goes hand in hand with consistent shooting.

Tripp credits Coach Jason Phelps with having a huge impact on his archery career. Jason has always been there for him, continually pushing him to improve and sharing advice to help him become the best archer he can be. Having a coach who consistently shows up, encourages you, and helps you grow can make a lasting difference!

And Tripp isn't slowing down anytime soon. He's already setting his sights on a big goal: winning at Vegas 2027! 🎯

His advice for anyone interested in archery is simple: work hard, stay dedicated, and put in the practice. Big accomplishments take commitment, and consistent effort is what helps you see results.

With five years in S3DA, Emersyn Potter has continued to challenge herself and grow as an archer. One of her standout memories from the 2026 season was shooting a perfect 300 at Eastern Indoor Nationals! 🎯 She also won't forget the excitement and experience of competing in the shootdowns at Eastern 3D Nationals.

This season, Emersyn focused on becoming more proficient at judging yardage gaps in 3D, continuing to build her confidence and skills to help her succeed on the range.

When it comes to the person who has had the biggest impact on her archery journey, Emersyn credits her brother, Adler. He's pushed her to be her best, even when things got difficult or she didn't feel like pushing herself. Having someone who encourages you to keep going can make all the difference!

And something you might not know about Emersyn? She loves old country music! 🤠🎶

After four years of hard work and practice, Nels Hageman has earned the title of 2026 Male Youth Olympic Recurve Western National Shooter of the Year! For Nels, this recognition means a lot because it shows that his dedication and commitment to improving have paid off.

Indoor Target is Nels' favorite discipline because the repetition helps him identify areas for improvement and continue building his scores, even if it's just a little at a time. Some of his favorite memories from this season include spending time with friends and participating in the father-son shoot at 3D Nationals in Helena.

Nels credits his dad with having the biggest impact on his archery journey. His dad actually learned to shoot Olympic recurve alongside Nels so they could work together to tune and refine his equipment. That shared experience has made archery even more meaningful, both on and off the range.

Looking ahead to next season, Nels is focused on improving his anchor point and continuing to develop as an archer. And something you might not know about him? He hosts a Dungeons & Dragons group at his house! 🎲
