Our S3DA National Staff will be taking a day away from the office on Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day.

We’re grateful for the hard work and dedication of the State Coordinators, coaches, families, volunteers, and supporters who keep S3DA moving forward and growing youth archery across the country. 🏹

WHAT’S POSSIBLE WHEN YOU PUT IN THE WORK. 🎯

Records don’t happen by accident. Championships aren’t won overnight. They’re built through countless hours of practice, dedication, determination, and a willingness to keep pushing forward—even when the results don’t always come as quickly as you hoped.

Chris Fong is a perfect example of that.

As an S3DA archer with Inside Out Archers of Idaho, Chris continues to prove what is possible when you commit to your craft. This past weekend at the NFAA Outdoor Nationals, Chris claimed Gold in the 900 Round with an incredible 899/900 and 69 Xs—setting a NEW NFAA National Record. 🏆🎯

But the record was only part of an incredible weekend. Chris also:
🏹 Won the First Dakota Classic
🏹 Won the 3 Star Shootoff
🏹 Earned NFAA Junior Shooter of the Year
🏹 Added another incredible chapter to an already impressive archery career

Beyond the competition, Chris also embodies what S3DA is all about—using archery to promote competition, conservation, and a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors. 🏹🌲

And perhaps most importantly, Chris continues to show the next generation what it looks like to work toward something bigger than yourself.

To every young archer standing on the line dreaming about what might be possible someday: keep showing up. Keep practicing. Keep learning. Keep pushing.

You never know where those hours of hard work might take you.

Chris, we are incredibly proud to call you part of the S3DA Family and excited to watch where your journey takes you next. Your accomplishments are impressive—but the example you’re setting for the next generation is even greater.

Behind every single S3DA State Chapter is a leader who serves, supports, and pours their time into growing youth archery. ❤️🏹

As we close out the 2025-2026 competition season, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank our incredible S3DA State Coordinators.

Our State Coordinators are the connection between the national organization and the grassroots communities that make S3DA possible. They work alongside amazing Regional Coordinators, coaches, teams, families, and countless volunteers who share the same passion for introducing youth to the sport of archery.

They educate youth and adults about what S3DA is, how to get involved, and the impact archery can have on young people. They organize events, answer questions, solve problems, support our teams and coaches, and handle countless details - both behind the scenes and right in the middle of it all.

A lot of the work they do may never make it onto social media BUT it matters. Every new team, every new archer, every event, and every opportunity to introduce a young person to archery starts with people willing to step up and serve.

You are what makes S3DA what it is today, and we are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for choosing to lead, serve, and help grow the next generation of archers. 🩵

🏹 MEET COLTON!

At just 5 years old, soon to be 6, Colton Bentsen is already discovering just how much he loves archery. ❤️

Colton started shooting a little over a year ago with a small toy bow. After deciding he had outgrown it, he asked for a compound bow—and what started as a “let’s see how this goes” quickly turned into a passion.

That passion really took off after Colton and his dad, Joe, helped with the United Bowhunters of New Jersey youth hunt in September 2025. Watching the young hunters return with their harvests left a lasting impression on Colton. From that point forward, he was hooked—and he's been shooting his bow nearly every day since!

Today, Colton is a proud member of the UBNJ Sharp Shooters S3DA Team, where his favorite part is spending time with the other kids and walking the 3D courses.

As his dad, Joe, put it: "When there is a spark in a kid, it's important to add fuel to the spark before it burns out."

We're excited to watch Colton's spark continue to grow! 🔥🏹
